Chapter 41: CHAPTER 41: TELL HER, LOVE!

Allison's POV: 

*Ten minutes ago*

We continued walking toward my department, and my heart raced. I noticed the absence of anyone around, assuming they were all attending the presentation organized by Jacob. How did he manage this? How did he manipulate Josiah to arrange it? These questions swirled in my mind as we proceeded. Suddenly, my eyes sparkled as I saw Sylvie walking in my direction. I breathed a sigh of relief, and a ray of hope emerged. I stopped for a second, looking at her, hoping she'd ask me if I was okay and fortunately she looked up at me. 

"Allison," she murmured my name and a smile approached her lips. I smiled too, as a surge of excitement filled my chest. 

"Sylvie," I murmured when suddenly I heard Jacob, exhaling deeply, causing my heart to race and my excitement to wane. Sylvie immediately paced towards me, making me gulp.
