Chapter 59: Chapter 59 - Taking a risk

After the first guy was flung away like a used rag, the other candidates hesitated to get close. One young man snickered. "We just have to touch it, right? I will kill you first and touch that statue all I want," he smugly said and took out a rifle from his bag.

Reya and the other stepped back to a safe distance from him. 'wait.....that man might be partially right. The old monk said that we need to touch the statue, but he did not explicitly say that we have to physically touch it,' she thought clenching her bag tightly.

The smug young man held his rifle to the old man's head and laughed out loud. "I'm gonna blow your head up old man," he laughed evilly.

Reya frowned hard. She stood in her defence pose, ready to run and pull the old man to safety if she had to.
