Chapter 116: Theo

“No!!!” Theo screamed, jerking himself out of his vision to a reality of horror.

Pete had been grabbed from behind and was being held by what looked like a werewolf… one that he knew and had fought beside.

“Gerant?” Theo gasped out.

Gerant had once been a leader of the shifter army from the north. A rival clan to Nesha’s, she and Fenril had gone to them and agreed to set aside their differences and fight together to stop Lorimer.

Theo took a step towards the creature reaching for him as if just by touching Gerant, he could bring him back. But a set of hands yank him back and a dark, wickedly twisted, and sharp-looking blade being pressed against his neck.

It wasn’t until then that he realized they were surrounded by a contingent of druagers, all highly armed and Shadow-filled.

There wasn’t even a hint of compassion on any of their faces. Gerant, himself, looked as if he didn’t recognize Theo or didn’t even care that they had fought beside each other for many battles.
