Chapter 76: Neivayka

Neivayka crawled out of bed after another restless night of trying desperately to get to sleep. She would have loved a few hours of oblivion after the vision that she'd had. Like a horror movie, it kept playing over and over again in her head. It had been weeks since she’d had the vision of the battle in the valley, and she still couldn’t get any rest.

She had finally given up and dragged herself out of bed. If she couldn’t sleep with how exhausted, she might as well get some practice in before the others joined her.

Easily now, almost as if it were second nature, she pulled an image into her mind of herself cleaned up and dressed in her favorite leathers before heading out to the courtyard.

By the time the others joined her, Neivayka had run through conjuring every all the weapons that Iola had taught her.

“Now, take out the dragon,” Steval demanded by way of congratulating her on a job well done for the day.
