Chapter 8: CHAPTER 7

The greying clouds told the neighborhood that there was an incoming storm. It was one that would probably shut off all the lights and most had already taken safety measures.

Phara just sat close to her window watching the neighbors trying to cover their Sienna with the car cover. Another set of people were on the street; a couple running trying to beat the already roaring winds. In the process of running the lady lost her shawl that was loosely wrapped around her neck to the winds. Phara couldn't help but snicker at the sight.

'It would be worse if it were her skirt flying everywhere... Hmmm, now that I'm think about it how about I run a bath?'

After a while of sluggishly recovering from her former position she made her way to her bathroom. She turned the tub tap letting warm water to fill it. She added a few oils and perfumes. She did it out of habit though, and she weirdly enjoyed doing so.

After preparing her bath she took off her clothes and took a dip. The suddenness of the heat on her skin caused her to release a silent hiss as she continued to lower herself and adjusted to the warmness of the water.

'Nothing beats this, I swear...Mmmmmm'

She felt a lot of her stress wear out. Hot water bathes were truly a miracle to mankind, they were something she would always be grateful for. After her body was finally settled she let the water massage her until she dosed off.

...

..."Karen, you know this is just the best."

Phara found herself in another dream involving her younger self. Oddly enough it was quite similar to her current scenario. The little girl was also in a tub of some sort but it was an ancient style type. It was like a Greek styled bath house. Karen also with her in the bath allowing her body to soak in the warm water.

"Is it now, mistress? Well then, I'm glad you like it." Karen said warmly.

Phara just marveled at the solemnity before her. So much peace and quiet save for the occasional sloshing of water from little Pharas' movements. Something she felt was very valuable.

'Did I once experience this? Who am I really?'

"You know that is a good question," a familiar voice replied Phara.

Phara spun to face Siphara, almost stumbling in the process. Dread embraced her and it took everything in her to stand on her two weary feet.

The room shifted around them too a black hue with only her naked figure and Sipharas' form visible.

"What do you want this time?"

"Whoa!! Surprise surprise. You can finally use your lips." Siphara was saying from the sofa she rested on. Her seductive figure just laid there as she flipped through the book she held.

Phara who realized this didn't hesitate to ask the next question. "Why am I here with you? Are you responsible for all the other dreams?"

"No... I'm just a prisoner in your body. Those dreams are yours not my doing."

"You are a prisoner? I don't follow..."

"You see, every prison I've been in is always a reborn me, only that they aren't the same person only reborn."

"What!?"

"Simply put, you are not the first Phara in history to host me in their being. But you aren't the same as the older ones."

Phara had a lot of trouble processing all the information coming at her. "What the hell are you saying?"

"What you've been hearing. You have been reborn again." Siphara was already ticked.

Phara couldn't believe the nonsense she was hearing. "Let me out of here this instant."

"And where do you think you're going?"

"Isn't this my body?"

"Have you forgotten that that amulet on your neck is restricting your from leaving your current position."

Siphara got up from where she sat and approached Phara. She tried to put some distance between them but met an obstruction behind her, the circle that held her captive had built an invisible wall around her. Siphara just leaned on it with an evil smile plastered on her face that made Pharas' guts churn in disgust.

"You have nowhere to go." She slurred.

The amulet on Phara's neck began to glow intensively. The light it emitted was so bright it was practically blinding. She shielded her eyes to fend off the light.

Phara jerked out of her slumber splashing water everywhere. Her breathing was rapid and uncoordinated. She came out of the tub in haste trying to get away from whatever was after her. She reached for the towel that was beside her and used it to wipe her face only to later look into the mirror and be greeted with the visage of a certain prisoner.

"Impossible!"

"What's wrong sweetheart?" Her pair of golden eyes complimented her evil demeanor giving her even more charm than was possibly witnessed.

Phara's feet gave out but her gaze was ever focused on the mirror. "It can't be. I must be going insane." She clutched her head tightly.

"I've said it before Phara dearest. If you are insane that makes both of us doesn't it?"

Phara just stared at her, fear clouded her expression. "WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU?" She screamed through teary eyes.

The person just gave off a very evil laugh. "I'm sure I have introduced myself before. If you did not get the message then get it now…" Then as if beside Phara's ear, "…I'm Siphara."
