Chapter 5: The Fall of Freya

The night was still, the moon hanging high above New Orleans, its silvery sheen casting an icy glow on the city. The air was thick and heavy with humidity, but it was the supernatural tension that caused Freya Mikaelson's skin to prickle as she sat incongruously cozy, cluttered apartment surrounded by ancient tomes and mystical artifacts, scoured through something, anything that could help her family regain what they'd lost.

The incubus, Sebastian, had, after all seemed to appear at her time of need many moons ago, an ill omen cast by her unspoken loneliness. He had grown in her life as an ally, a confidant, and objectification of her best-guarded desires in such quick time that Freya had remained oblivious through and through.

Rain pattered against the window with a dull cadence that seemed to belie shrill notes, almost hypnotizing Freya into some sort of trance. She looked up from her book, her mind drifting for a moment. Sebastian's last visit swelled into her mind. He had come to talk with her about some powerful spell, but his true reason was an undeniable attraction-to her. The way he had looked at her, deep, dark eyes burning in his gaze, sparked a fire within her that had not been lit in ages.

Just as she was deep in thoughts of his charm, the soft knock interrupted her reverie. Opening the door, she found Sebastian standing, soaked by the rain that was dripping off his clothes onto the ground, clinging to a finely toned body. He smiled; her heart skipped a beat.

Was I interrupting your studying?" he asked, his voice soft and flowing in pure velvet, with warmth oozing from every word.

"Not at all," Freya replied with a shrug, stepping aside to allow him entrance. "I could use a break, anyway."

With him, the smell of rain mixed into his own particular scent-like sandalwood and, quite literally, something out of this world-entered the room. She closed the door behind him as the all-too-familiar fluttering of her stomach started stirring. "What brings you here tonight?"

"Just thought I'd check on you. You've been working so hard," he said, his gaze sweeping over the scattered papers and open books. "You deserve a little fun."

Freya tittered softly, the insinuation warming her cheeks. "Fun isn't exactly on my agenda these days.".

Sebastian moved in closer, an overwhelming intoxicating presence. "What if I could change that?

He stepped closer to her; his eyes never left hers. Freya could feel the heat emanating from him-a magnetism very hard to evade. "Let's not talk about spells tonight," he whispered, brushing a loose strand of hair off her face. "Let's talk about us.

Freya's breath caught in her throat. "Us?"

"Let me show you how much I do appreciate your brilliance," he breathed, his mouth closer now, his words hot against her skin. "You're all so damned extraordinary-it's time you saw that."

And before she could answer, Sebastian closed the space between them, his lips clamping down onto hers. It was an electric kiss, shooting a river of craving down into her flesh. Freya turned limply against him, returning the kiss as if it had been a very long time since they had touched.

His hands tangled in her hair, and he deepened the kiss, pressing her against the wall. Freya's heart was racing, and every rational thought slipped away, consumed by the heat of the moment. She had never easily succumbed to temptation, but with him, everything felt different.

Sebastian pulled back a little, his eyes dark with lust. "You have no idea how long I've wanted this," he said on a low, sultry murmur. "You're all I have ever craved.

Freya's face flushed hot. "You're just saying that."

"No," he said firmly, catching her chin gently. "I mean it. There is a strength to draw into, and I can feel that power, the pull of it intoxicating.

His fingers tangled along her jawline, sending shivers down her spine, as he spoke. She knew he was playing at her emotions, weaving a web of desire, but a part of her did not care. She wanted him at that instant, wanted to feel alive, wanted to run away from the tangle of her family's legacy.

Sebastian took her hand and led her toward the bedroom; his intentions were pretty clear. As soon as they stepped inside, he closed the door behind them and turned to her with a look that made her pulse run with an increasing strength.

Are you sure about this?" he asked, his voice suddenly grave and the playful tone replaced by genuine concern. "Once we cross this line, there's no going back.

"I want this," Freya said, astounding herself as much as him with the surety in her tone. "I want you."

Sebastian grinned, a predatory smile that sent a thrill through her. He stepped closer again, enveloping her in his embrace; their lips crashed together with a fiery passion. Freya's fingers explored his muscular back, feeling the strength beneath his skin. He kissed her deeply, his hands roaming her body, firing on every nerve ending as he claimed her.

His hands slipped beneath her shirt, fingers dancing up her sides as soft gasps escaped her lips. He pulled far enough away to tug the fabric over her head and reveal her to him. Freya felt vulnerable yet empowered under his gaze.

"Beautiful," he breathed, his eyes darkening with desire as he took in her form. The expression with which he regarded her set her heart racing and her skin flush with heat.

Show me," she urged, her voice barely above a whisper, feeling bold, ready for whatever would come.

Sebastien obliged, guiding her back toward the bed. He laid her down gently, his hands trailing over her body, mapping every curve as if committing her to memory. The feeling of his touch sparked an electric current racing along her skin, and Freya felt herself melt into the mattress, completely given over to the moment. --- Sebastian's lips trailed down her neck, and she gasped at the sensation as she arched her back, teasing her skin. He paused at her collarbone and left soft kisses against her skin, making it tingle. His hands moved lower, teasing the waistband of her pants, before she lifted her hips, snagging his hands eagerly to urge him along. "Eager, are we?" he teased. His voice was low with seduction. Just take them off," she breathed, sounding impatient but anticipatory. He did, with a smirk; peeling her pants off with a very deliberate slowness. Freya actually shivered in anticipation as he finally discarded them, revealing her completely to him. — Sebastian's eyes paused for a moment longer on hers, dark with hunger, where she sat in view of him. "You are perfect," he whispered, before his lips fell back onto hers. The kiss which started all over again was deeper, joined with urgency and desperation. His hands wandered to her body, searching for those places that would make her gasp and moan. The fact that he was going so slow, just reveling in his power over her now melting from his touch, made everything around them fade, leaving the whole world with just the two of them, entwined in a web of desire.

With their bodies moving together, Freya could feel the heat building between them, a simmering tension threatening to explode. She reached for him—her fingers trailing down his chest, feeling hard muscles beneath his shirt.

"Take it off," she insisted, her tone commanding and sultry.

Sebastian obliged, pulling his shirt over his head; his chiseled physique now lay revealed. Freya bit her lip, unable to contain her desire as he climbed back onto the bed, hovering above her.

"Ready?" he asked, his low voice like gravel. It sent shivers down her spine.

"More than ever," she replied, her breath catching with anticipation.

Sebastian was in position, teasing her with proximity but never quite touching. "Then let's make this unforgettable."

With that, he plunged into her, filling her completely as their bodies joined in a rhythm of ecstasy. Freya cried out, her nails digging deeper into his back as she lost herself to the sensation. Every thrust ignited further her senses, bringing her closer to the edge of pleasure.

Sebastian's movements couldn't stop, and he each stroke sent her really wild. So she could feel a tension rising inside, which was ready to burst anytime.

"Sebastian," she gasped, "I'm so close."

"Let go," he said, voice husky, a whispered promise in her ear. "I've got you."

There was an overpowering wave of pleasure breaking over her, and it was enough—as if a spell were cast—to make Freya finally succumb. She called out his name as she came, her body shaking with the intensity.

Sebastian was hot on his heels, letting himself go as he filled her completely, his body wrapped around hers in the aftermath of their passion.

They collapsed onto the bed, panting and sweating, slick all over, totally satisfied. And, yes, Freya did feel warmth spread through her—a glow of contentment—as she turned to Seb, his face smug, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction in what had just taken place between them.

"That was amazing," she huffed, still so high on their connection.

"It always is," he replied in even, captivating tones. "You deserve to feel this way, Freya."

But as the moment settled, one lagging doubt tugged at her heart. She knew, deep down inside, that she was getting enmeshed in a web of manipulations. However, at that moment, the bliss overshadowed her misgivings, and so she let herself bask in the afterglow of their encounter.

She snuggled in closer to Sebastian, her head nuzzling into his chest, her fingers tracing over the firm outlines of his muscles. The closeness was intoxicating, but deep within her, a part of her wondered whether this was a moment to savor or the gateway toward something more.

She broke the comfortable silence by asking softly, "What happens now? I mean, where do we go from here?"

Sebastian's fingers threaded through her hair, weighing his answer. "That depends on what you want, Freya. I'm here to help you, to be whatever you need."

His response was polished, canned even, and it sparked a flicker of suspicion inside her. "And what do you gain from this?" she pressed on, threads rising effortlessly beneath her skin, as her head rose and her cool gaze met his. "You can't pretend this is just about me."

His face shifted a bit, a shadow crossing his features. "You're right. Part of me wants your power. But part of me just wants you."

Freya searched his face for the taint of lies, but all she saw was honesty—or at least the charm of the incubus laced within him, a mask that hid his true intentions. "You can't expect me to just accept that, can you?" she returned, folding her arms across her chest as some barrier against the seepage of vulnerability.

Sebastian chuckled, a low rich sound that sent a thrill through her. "You're sharp, Freya. I admire that. But let me tell you this: I wouldn't be wasting my time with you if I didn't think you were worth it."

There was a warmth in his words, but it was clouded by her inner turmoil. "What if I don't want to be a pawn in someone else's game?"

"Then don't be," he said so easily, his eyes never leaving hers. "You're not a pawn; you're the queen. This is your life, your destiny. I simply want to help you reclaim it."

And his words finally weighed in her mind, an offer laced with temptation. But the fear of being at his mercy always nagged her, and she had to be very careful. "I have my family to think about," she replied, her voice firm but edged with a ring of uncertainty. "I can't just jump into this without considering the consequences."

Sebastian nodded, his eyes understanding her hesitancy. "I get it, you have responsibilities invested in you, a legacy to hold high. What if I said that I can help fortify your powers? Help you shield your family?"

A spark was lit in Freya's chest, a fire of hope, of longing to see what they could do, what they could achieve together. "And how exactly would you do that?" she asked curiously.

"With knowledge and experience. Things I may teach you no one else can," he returned, now gravely serious. "You're capable of so much more than you realize. With my help, you could surpass even the strongest of your family."

The mere thought sent her heart racing. Ability to protect those she cared about, keep them safe from the numerous people wanting them dead—irresistible. Part of her, however, was still very cautious. "And what's the catch?" she asked, one eyebrow cocked.

He leaned in closer to her, his voice low, husky, and seductive. "No catch, just a partnership. Your power is incredible, Freya, but I can show you how to weld it, how to make these yours, truly, and we can do great things together, achieve greatness."

The tension hung thick in the air, crackling with possibilities, and Freya found herself drawn to a proposition with him. She felt the pull of his offer, a means to her family's protection and strength. Yet, deep inside, something begged caution.

"Are you asking me to trust you?" she asked, voice skeptical.

"I'm asking you to trust yourself," he said, his eyes appearing to burn a hole in her. "Trust that you will make the right choice, be it whatever it is."

As such, Freya's heart was racing with the implications. The power to protect her family, its value dear to her birthright—was the worth of it all? Was she truly capable of trusting Sebastian, or was this some kind of trap?

She took a deep breath and made her mind up. "I need time to think about this," she said, pulling away slightly to clear her mind.

Sebastian nodded, a flicker of understanding in his eyes. "I respect that, but know that I'm here, and I won't wait forever."

As the night wore on, Freya could feel the lingering warmth of their embrace hanging in the air, a reminder of the passion they shared. Sebastian stayed by her side, but the teasing ambiance changed to one of tension that hung between them.

"You know," he said, breaking the silence, "your family isn't going to understand this. They're going to view me as a threat."

"Then they shall see me first," she replied steadily, making her determination bold. "This is my life, and nobody shall tell me which way to take."

Sebastian smiled, his eyes alight with a flicker of admiration. "That's the spirit, Freya. Just remember, strength can come in many forms." The moonlight streaming in through the window cast his room in a silvery glow as they sat with a moment of quiet contemplation. It was a feeling that Freya couldn't shake—that this wasn't so much an ending but a beginning, some powerful alliance that would change everything.

As the hours ticked away, Freya realized the dawn would soon break. She did not wish for Sebastian to go, but a part of her knew she needed to refocus. "You should go," she said, highly reluctantly, not wanting to face the day confronting her.

He nodded, his face relaxing. "I'll be close by if you need me. Just… don't take too long deciding."

Freya saw him to the door; her heart was racing while their gazes locked a last time. "Thanks for tonight," she whispered, sounding grateful but still wanting him. Sebastian grinned, the movement forcing his face to bend down and place a gentle kiss on her lips, rekindling the embers of their common passion once more. "The pleasure was all mine," he replied, low and provocatively. As he turned and went out into the night, Freya shut the door behind him, the weight of what had transpired between them fresh in her mind. She leaned against the door, her heart erratically racing with excitement and apprehension. The choices she had to make now loomed over her, intertwining her fate with that of an incubus whose intentions remained shrouded in mystery.

The morning after, the sun rose with a brightness that belied the chaos brewing within Freya. She had to face her family—to protect them while negotiating some of the intricacies of their relationships with Sebastian. Little did she know, Sebastian was already plotting his next step. He watched her from the shadows, with a predatory gleam in his eyes—the game had just started, and he would win, no matter the cost. As she got ready for the day, Freya had this nagging feeling that she was enwrapped in a storm that was to test her strength, her resolve, and heart. Fighting for power and love had only just begun, while the repercussions of her decisions would rumble through the supernatural world of New Orleans, changing everything in its wake.

Author's note: I am kind of learning how to write smut and I would avoid it but seduction has such a huge role in my writing that I have to include it to make it at least sound good for me.
