Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Maurice Joins the Agency

ARRAN’S POV

The comical look on Mark Bronx’s face before he left the boardroom made me happy. Finally, the f*cking b*stard walked out humbly knowing that Vance was on to him. The day flew by as we got busy with Vance's new directives.

As we walked out of the office, Killian was already at the entrance to pick up Vance. The stares and murmurs from the agents made Vance blush while Killian seemed unperturbed by it. As they left, I stood waiting for a taxi when an SUV pulled over and Maurice Nemesio alighted.

“Hi,” he smiled cheekily.

I heard the gasp of the agents who stood outside waiting for their rides.

“Get in the car,” I seethed as I pushed him in, and the car pulled away from the curb.

“What?” Maurice shrugged his shoulders.

“You did it on purpose,” I scolded him.

“Why are you always this negative? I came to pick you up and you are complaining. If I did not you would sulk,” Maurice snapped back.
