He watches her from a distance; she finishes cleaning the last table and then heads to the back of the bar and through the staff's door so she can finally change her sweaty clothes.
Today was no different than any other for Eloise; she finished her part time job at the library as a bookkeeper and then, after lunch, she went to the other part time job she had at the local bar. It was hard to get used to it at first, but she was now fine with it. At the beginning, this was only temporarily, to get enough money to go to college. But now, college seemed far away, and she had made friends.
Tonight she was doing a favor for one of those new friends, staying over extra hours while said friend was taking her son to the hospital again. Catty had been having a bad month with her son being sick and her bills piling up. Eloise knew this and didn't hesitate to say yes to give her a hand.
