Chapter 1: Chapter 1 - Ushiten

Ushijima rushed to the hospital room 107, his face pale and his palms sweaty. He slowly opened the door hearing a loud creaking sound echo through the empty room. There, he saw the boy he had seen his best friend and now lover lying down on the pure white hospital bed, his normal spiky hair was now lying there on his face, messy without its usual updo. Every breath the boy took was sharp as if he was grasping onto life. Ushijima hurriedly sat on the side of the bed gripping onto the red haired boys hand. "Please don't leave me like this..." he whispered, lifting up the boys hand planting a light kiss on it. Tendou slowly turned his head towards Ushijima, "Wakatoshi? What are you doing here?.." he said with a raspy voice. Ushijima lightly shushed the boy fearing that even the softest words would worsen his condition. "Please don't speak.." Ushijima stared lovingly at Tendou, was he always this frail? He planted light kisses on the boy's forehead, eyelid, and cheek. "Did I take him for granted?" Ushijima felt the regret crashing onto him like a wave. If only he had been better to this boy who deserved the whole world, something he could not give him. Tendou slowly reached his hand shakily towards Ushijima's face, cupping his cheeks. His breathing becoming more shallow he whispered "I'm happy," Ushijima's eyes filled with tears, "I'm happy that I'll be able to see your face Wakatoshi, even while I take my final breaths" Tendou's arm slowly fell down to the bed as he closed his eyes. He was content that at least he'd be able to see his lover's face even if it would be the last time he'd see it. "Satori," Ushijima whispered, "I love you." But Tendou was already in the skies above.
