Synopsis

it feels like this has been posted in trial read last year. the synopsis was really familiar. if that's so please release the old books that hasnt chosen . (still in my library)
This book was hard for me to review. While the translation is good and the story is different from the transmigration/reincarnation types that have been released, the story itself is incredibly unrealistic. **Spoilers ahead** Our FL is depicted as this Chinese medical heroine who saves people with her accupuncture needles and prescriptions one day at a time. Sheโs like this miracle goddess who comes from the country to a city that only uses and values Western medicine. Her โnewโ (actually old) medical knowledge is able to cure any kind of disease - even the ones Western medicine canโt, mind you. I kid you not: ๐ก Extreme allergy thatโll kill you? No worries. Yun Jin medical genius is here to save you with her needles. ๐ด Heart attack? Relaaaaaxxx. Itโs so easy to cure with accupuncture needles. ๐ข Severe concussion? Got nothing one this herione. ๐ฃLeukemia? Biiiiischh please ๐. This FL can cure you quick, quick. All of the above happens in the first 35 chapters of the book. Now, if this were a fantasy novel where magic, and supernatural powers exist I would accept all this easily. But this book is set in a world that is meant to be realistic. I know Chinese medicine works, but not to the extent that it can cure all illnesses with no side-effects ๐คฏ. Based on the descriptions of how they use โbrickโ cell phones as well as CD players, Iโm guessing the book is set in the 80โs or 90โs in China. Itโs not specifically stated what year in the 35 chapters so far. So again, you have a modernish world. Itโs completely ordinary but you have this FL who can do extraordinary things. Iโm not sure who the ML is here. Multiple guys are going to fall for her, and Iโm not sure if sheโll choose anyone or this will be some reverse harem. I think the ML is the doctor Lin Yuan, however other readers have said that he is not ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ. Itโs very inconclusive at this point. Also, I donโt like how everyone is at first very apprehensive about her medical skills and then turn into fawning whorshippers of her after she saves someone. It happens way too often. If Iโm not wrong, she has saved at least 5 people in 35 chapters and everytime the crowd would go from: โYouโre crazy, you canโt save people with Chinese medicineโ to: โWow, you are all powerful, I worship the ground you walk onโ. Thatโs a brief summary of what happens EVERYTIME she saves someone๐. Not my personal favourite.

This is based on 40 chapters. Sure, it may be unrealistic that FL is so young yet skilled in Chinese medicine that can seem to cure almost everything. However, if you're able to suspend reality, then the story isn't so bad. I'm more interested in how FL only wants to continue to study & how she continues to develop relationships with her potential suitors. Yes, this is a reverse harem situation, which I'm not really a fan of but in this case it's funny because of the initial dislike 3 of them have towards her.

This novel is interesting. I like the mc's personalityโshe normally doesn't care when bullied but she's also not a pushover. She is a Chinese medicine practitioner who went down from the mountain as tasked by her grandfather. She met her grandfather's friend and gave the old man what her grandfather tasked her. But the old man plotted something against her that she didn't have any idea ofโto be the fiancee of one of the old man's grandsons. The old man have 3 grandsons who dislike the idea of being her fiance and begin to dislike her. They plotted to make her dislike them so she wouldn't choose them. And that's how their relationship will progress.
