Chapter 8: Chapter 8
Well, let me explain what happened. Stellen did not break into my house. I opened the door for him last night. After I called him and rudely hung up before he could answer me he texted me that he was going to come over because what he was going to say he felt should be discussed in person. I didn't see his text because I was too busy loathing myself on the floor. When he came to the door I had no idea he was coming, not to mention I forgot I was in my undergarments. I came to the door and opened it.
"Stellen what are you doing here?*
He looks at me and quickly notices I'm half-dressed. He takes off his jacket and puts it over me.
"I texted you that I was coming over. You didn't get my text?"
He's to focused on putting the jacket on me zips it up then slowly looks at me. I laughed "how is it so easy for you to make my heart skip a beat.'' I start to tear up. ''You're not making this any easier for me. Why can't you be like everyone else? Just tell me that you like me too, just as much as I do. What the hell did I do to easily fall for you?"
He pulls me towards him and gives me a hug. "I love you…"
We looked at each other for the longest. We didn't have to say anything to know how genuine our feelings were. He hugs me a little tighter and says, "Shi I've been trying to hold myself back but you've been making it very hard for me to do that.
I come closer and kiss him.
After everything that's happened we go inside, he makes me coffee to help me sober up. He walks into the living room with a cup of coffee in his hand. "Here you go. Be careful it's hot." I grabbed the coffee from his hands and I set it down on the coffee table. He grabs the towel from the hallway and comes back with it. He comes and he uses it to dry my hair. "You should make sure you dry your hair so you don't get a cold.'' I was already half asleep from him rubbing my head. I try really hard to stay up but I keep going in and out of my sleep.
He finishes drying my hair then he sits next to me. "You can go to sleep I'll still be here when you wake up.'' I lay on his shoulder and close my eyes not long after that I'm fast asleep.
Stellen picked me up and brushed me to my bed. He slept in the living room. When I woke up I was so focussed on my headache that I forgot that Stellen was here. Moments after I saw him I started to recall last night's conversation.
"Good morning!"
"morning ."
Stellen brings two plates to the table. I follow him and sit down. We sit down and eat together. I can't help but think about what I would be like if we were married.
"Um I gotta work today so I'll be leaving to get changed but I wanted to know if you wanted to go to work with me."
"I- you want me to go to work with you?"
