Chapter 7: Chapter 7
My stomach dropped everything I thought of what he might think if I called him. Would he find me annoying? Would I be troubling him? These thoughts lingered in my mind longer then I anticipated. Hours went by as I thought of what I should do. Eventually I finally got the confidence to call Stellen and ask him to meet up so we can talk. When I called him, a woman answered his phone. At first, it thought it was his assistant, but then I realized that she wouldn't be answering on his personal phone. I wanted to ask who it was but it wasn't any of my business and I didn't want to make him mad. I told her I called the wrong number and hung up.
Maybe that's why he didn't want things to be serious. He already had a girlfriend so he didn't want to go any further with ours. I go to the cabinets and take out some alcohol. I open it and start glugging. Don't think I'm doing this because I pity myself. I'm drinking because even after everything I've told you guys about not falling in love it feels like I am. No matter who I'm with, I will always end up being the one hurt.
Thirty minutes later I was completely drunk. When you're drunk that's usually when you do things you regret. I definitely did something I knew I was going to regret. I called Stellen. This time it wasn't a woman who answered the phone.
"Hello"
"Stellen *hic* yo- you picked up the phone this time *hi*"
"What are you talking about? Shi Yang are you drunk?"
"Ma- maybe just a little but that's not why I called yu- *hic* I called you but your girlfriend answered I didn't want to *hic* cause any trou- *hic* -ble so I hung up."
"Shi Yang, she's not my…"
"Wait before you say anything. I just want to tell you something. I love everything you do when you correct me for the stupid things I do. I love hanging out with you. I think like you, so please don't be like everyone else and leave me alone too. Stellen I want you…"
My words lingered in the air like the perfume you spray yourself with. After I told him how I felt I hung up without allowing him to speak. I was definitely gonna regret that when I sobered up so I enjoyed every bit of it while it lasted.
The next day I woke up with a huge headache. I went to check if I had any more medicine to help but I was all out. I layed back in my bed, I just wanted to go back to sleep. I heard someone in my house. I grabbed the first thing I saw to protect myself. I walk in the kitchen and see Stellen making breakfast.
"Stellen! What are you doing here?"
