Chapter 25: Chapter 27
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I just didn't want you to be out here by yourself."
I look to see it's the guy who Stellen told me not to be around. I don't want to make Stellen mad. I need to figure out a way to get rid of him.
"Oh, no need to worry I- I was just about to go inside. Take care."
I quickly try to walk away but he hurries and blocks the entrance.
"Excuse me, I'm trying to go inside."
"Sorry but you seem to hate me. At least let me introduce myself before you start disliking me."
*sigh*
"My name is Wyan and i-"
I cut him off before he finishes his sentence.
"Nice to meet you Wyan can I go now?"
He doesn't say anything, he seemed a bit shocked and embarrassed. He backed up and moved out my way. I quickly walked inside. Music and conversations feel the room. The air was heavy and the room was spinning so quickly that I could see who I was speaking to. "A seat, I need to find a seat." I try to make my way to the nearest seat, but I get stopped by some people trying to make conversation.
The room was closing in on me. I needed a way out. I turned to go back outside but the door looked even farther than usual. I see an empty room across from me if I could just… someone pulls me and guides me to an empty room.
"If being in there is too much then leave. Don't force yourself."
It was Stellen. He takes off his jacket and puts it around me.
"Thank you, Stellen."
"I'll be back. Stay here and don't get into any trouble while I'm gone."
I nod my head. He turns and grabs a water bottle off the shelf. He hands it to me…
"Here drink this, get some sleep I'll come back for you."
He walks out of the room shutting the door. I open the water bottle and drink the water. I check my phone and see several missing calls and text messages from Jessica. "She musta been looking for me. Sorry, I guess I'm not cut out for things like this." I close my phone and lay down. I stare at the ceiling blankly. I close my eyes and fastly begin to sleep.
I look in the mirror and see someone. It was not me, it was me in high school. I was crying in a corner. Two girls were laughing pouring all types of disgusting liquids on me. I did nothing. I allowed them to do it. I sat there and allowed them to treat me as such while I ate my feelings away in the end.
The girl in the mirror whispered "Stop it! Please stop it… Please, you're hurting me!"
Tears began to run down my face. I couldn't stop it. I couldn't watch the torture I wanted to say something. Help me help myself. I started banging on the mirror.
"Stop it! You're hurting her. Leave her alone."
I could no longer see their faces. I only see a dark void taking over their bodies. I now see a black void where my heart belonged. No matter how much I screamed and banged on the mirror they wouldn't listen. I looked around the room for something to break the mirror with and I found a metal box. I tossed everything inside on the floor and run back to the mirror. One of the girls was standing in front of the mirror.
"If you want to save her, replace her."
She pulls me inside the mirror.
Someone starts calling my name, it sounds a bit faint.
"Shi Yang! Shi Yang! Wake up!
and a little scared. I don't want them to worry so I reassure them I was alright and was ready to go back to the party.
"Jessica you go ahead I'm going to stay here with Shi Yang"
"Okay, but call me if anything okay Shi Yang?'
I nod my head then watch her slowly walk out the room. I could tell she didn't want to leave but she did so anyway. she proceeds to walk out. Stellen grabs a chair and sets it beside the bed I was sitting on. He sits then looks at me not concerned nor scared, but serious,
"So are you going to tell me what happened?"
