Chapter 15: Chapter 17
*Back to the perspective of Shi Yang*
Dear diary,
Stellen has been staying at my house for the past couple of days. He said something problematic at his home that he didn't want to deal with so he's been staying at my house for a couple of days. A couple of days ago he took me to work with him. It was nothing out of the ordinary or exciting. He was pretty busy today so I was stuck waiting for him in his office. While I was there I took this as a chance to get ahead on my writing. I open my laptop and carry on working on my books.
I've been writing for eight hours. I've got three weeks' worth of work done. I stretch and close my laptop. I check my phone to see what time it is. "It's already five-thirty. He must be really hungry. He hasn't eaten anything since this morning. I'll just make him something to eat when we get home. I wonder what he prefers to eat. I'll just have to ask him.
*yawn*
"I'm a little tired. I'll just take a quick nap while I wait for him to finish his work. I put my laptop in my bag, then set it to the side. I lay my head down on the table using my hands as a pillow. I close my eyes and start to rest.
My body feels like it's moving, hovering. I open my eyes and see Stellen. He is carrying me inside the car. I rub my eyes and look up at him. "You finally got off work?" he doesn't answer. "I'm sorry I was trying to wait for you but I got tired. Are you hungry? I was going to make you dinner." he looks at me and smiles. He set me down so he could open the door for me. "I am hungry."
"Great, we could go to the store on our way home."
"I'll eat whatever you make."
I get in the car and he closes the door. He walks to the driver seat and gets in. " he starts the car and drives to the supermarket. "Shi Yang, have you already packed for tomorrow?" I look at him confused. I forgot that tomorrow we were getting on the lane to get to Chicago. "Oh right! Jeans wedding. I forgot. I'll just pack when I get home." he laughs.
He drives in the parking lot. "I'll get a cart and you can wait for me in the front. Alright?" he nodded his head in response. I get out and walk to the cart. I grab the cart and walk to the front of the store where Stellen is waiting for me. We walk inside and I start gathering the ingredients we need that I don't have. "We need some potatoes and some spices. I see a little cartoon stuffed bear. It reminds me of Stellen so I try to grab the bear but it is all the way on the top shelf. I get on top of my tippy toes to reach it. Stellen walks behind me and grabs the teddy bear I'm reaching for. I look up to see him standing behind me. "Is this what you were trying to get?" He hands me the teddy bear. "Yea I wanted to get it because it reminded me of you. See." I put the teddy bear beside him and then looked at him smiling. He watches me as my face lights up with excitement. He smiles and pats my head. "We should pay for this stuff and leave."
"Yeah I guess your rights." we go up to the checkout line and pay for our stuff. We hurry home. When we get to the house Stellen grabs all the groceries and brings them up. I unlock the door and let him in first.
I put on my apron and get started with the cooking. I prep all the ingredients and start slow cooking them in the crockpot. I take off the apron and wash my hands. I walk in the living room and see Stellen sitting down on the floor reading one of my old books. He's wearing glasses he looks handsome with them on.
*ShI Yang blushes*
Stellen looks over my way. I walk close to him then start rubbing his head. "Dinner will be ready in thirty minutes."
"I changed our flight time to three-thirty in the afternoon. It's already late so we won't be able to wake up early to go in the morning."
"Oh that's right I almost forgot I needed to pack my clothes!"
I grab Stellens hand and bring him along in my room. I let go of his hand and go underneath the bed. I pull out a suitcase and set it on the bed. I unzip the suitcase and lift up the top. I go to my closet and start throwing around clothes. "I know it's around here somewhere… Maybe I put them in my dresser."
Stellen is calling me but I'm too focused on finding my nice set of clothes.
"Shi Yang! Shi Yang!"
He finally gives up on trying to call me to get my attention, he gets up and walks up to me. He grabs my arm and pulls me up. He grabs my other hand then pins me against the wall. He puts his left leg right in between my legs. I look him in his eyes. "I've seen to have finally gotten your attention."
