Chapter 11: Chapter 12
Without any thought I grab my things and head out the door.
"Stellen!? Are you seriously going to leave while we are in the middle of a conversation?"
Stell looks at her, " You were just leaving weren't you?"
He walks over to his desk and calls for the assistant, can you please see Ms. Hara out. He quickly walks out the room.
Ms.Hara still in shock remained in her seat. She gets up and walks to the window, she watches him walk to his car. "Ha he's really changed. I wonder who that was to have him so antsy, interesting."
At Shi Yangs place...
Shi Yang had a few drinks too much. She was upset and confused, she knew why but refused to acknowledge the reason. She lays on the floor and swings the Hennessey bottle in her hand.
She laughs, trying to hold back her tears. "I really am pathetic", she whines. She begins to get flash backs of the woman from earlier. It was undeniable that her beauty was unmatched and unique. She looked expensive from head to toe. Our difference was to much to not notice. A tear unknowingly trickles down her face. It felt hot, almost burning her skin. She could feel her face getting red.
She hears loud footsteps. She turns towards the noise. It was Stellen, still unsure if she was hallucinating or not she turns to the drink. "Even when I don't want to see you, you still seem to show up." A bright but sad smile appears on her face.
Maybe I should stop drinking. She sets the drink down and looks at Stellen again. This time they make eye contact. He walks towards her and grabs her hand. She's freezing!
"Where have you been? Why are your hands so cold" His eyes, his eyes showed empathy for me. I couldn't answer him. My mouth wouldn't move. I couldn't utter a single word. Instead I looked into his eyes leaving his question unanswered. He gets up and walks to the kitchen.
"Have you eaten yet?"
I shake my head. He begins to look through my cabinets and refrigerator. He smiles and looks towards me.
"Shall I prepare you a meal then?"
She doesn't answer she only nods her head. Her kitchen was cold, so cold that I could see every breath I take. I look over towards Shi Yang, she shaking, she was shaking so much it was almost impossible not to notice. Did she turn the a/c on? Or was it broken.
