Twentyminuteshave passed since that phone call. Who was she? I began to overthink , I then reminded myself that he is a grown man who has no attachmentto me. Even so a tear still trickleddown my face. The door creaked open, I hurriedlywiped my eyes. Stellen walks in wearing his lab coat. He looks at me and smiles.
"Ready to go for lunch? One sec I'll just grab my wallet so we can go." He begins to take his coat off and set it down. He then walks towards his desk.
"You got a phone call."
He stops and but doesn't turn to look at me.
" Is that so? Do you by chance know who it was?"
"No."
Without turning to look back he answers me " Did you answer the phone call"
"Yes"
Now he turns towards me and leans on his desk. " What did they say?" He crosses his hands, waiting for my response.
I start to feel a sting in my heart, my chest tightens and my throat gets dry. As I try to recall the conversation I had with this woman my hearts starts to sink in abyss. "I think she called your phone trying to talk something over with you, but I answered. After only a few words coming from my mouth she immediately interrupted, demanding to know who I was and why I possessed your phone."
"That's all that happened?"
"No, she proceeded with the yelling not allowing me to answer."
I waited for her to finish yelling then told her "I was just a friend. She sounded to be more relaxed with my reply. She apologized and told me she had the wrong number."
He frowned at my words. He looked like he was deep in his thoughts. He looked at me, almost a bit disappointed, but I felt no sympathy because a random woman called his phone and he didn't seem to want to give me a proper explanation, and I didn't plan to ask about it either.
"Did she say anything else to you? Anything rude in the sorts?"
I looked at him and sighed with disbelief, " no she didn't."
I grab my coat, keys, and phone and head for the door.
He gets up and walks towards me. "Where are you going?"
"I'm going to explain to her that there is nothing going on with me and you to her in person."
He grabs onto my arm. "Please don't go. I'm sorry about what happened at that time. I really want to be with you. Please give me chance to explain everything." I look at him and grab my necklace from his desk. He grabs my hand,, I throw his hand off of me. I walk out not looking back. My way out the office a beautiful curvy Latina walks into his office. I was curious why she was there up I couldn't allow myself to go back. I guess I will never know who she is too him...

*Knock knock*
Stelln comes practically running to the door.
"Will you list-"
A very sour expression is spread across his face.
Much of digest and nger shows almost immediately after the sour expression.
"What are you doing here he snarls?"
The woman sarcastically laughs "It's nice to see you too" She let's herself in pushing out of her way.
"Seriously why are you in my office?"
She walks over to her desk and sits in the guest seat, she gestures for him to sit down. He rolls his eyes, but obediently sits impatiently waiting for her to answer his question. She digs in her purse and grabs her lipgloss and mirror. She looks at herself in the mirror as she begins to put it on.
"I'm sure you know why I'm here." She looks his direction as she puts the lipgloss back.
"I want to get back together."
"ABSOLUTELY NOT! My feelings for you went out the door when you did." I looked towards my phone hoping Shi Yang texted me, no text, no miss calls, not even a voice message. My head starts to throb.
"I know what I did was wrong, but I thought what I felt for him was real, but then he made me realize how much more of a great person you are.
He could tell her words had no true meaning. Her empty words pierced him just as she did before. She never had any ture meaning in her love, at least not towards me.
*Ring Ring Ring!*
