Chapter 35: CPR

"Max, if you've truly hurt our daughter, then you need to understand the gravity of your actions," she said gently but firmly. "Apologies are a start, but it will take time and effort to rebuild the trust you've broken."

Max nodded, his eyes filled with remorse. "I know, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I want to show Aria that I've changed, that I'm truly sorry."

Mr. Smith sighed, his gaze softening as he looked at Max. "We appreciate your honesty, Max. But remember, actions speak louder than words. It will be up to Aria to decide if she's willing to give you another chance."

Max's heart sank, knowing that his fate rested in Aria's hands. He had a long journey ahead of him, one filled with self-reflection, growth, and the difficult task of earning back the trust he had shattered. But he was determined to do whatever it took, for Aria and for himself, to make amends and become a better person.
