She stood at the edge of the clearing, her eyes scanning the dense thickets for any signs of movement, her thoughts still anchored to the battle they had narrowly won.

Seraphina emerged from the trees a few moments later, her steps light but purposeful. Her face was impassive, but Elara could sense the tension in her movements—sharp, deliberate, a readiness for violence that hadn't left her even after the victory in the Sanctuary.

"No sign of them," Seraphina said, her voice low. "At least not for now."
