"Well, enjoy the party. Though there are not more than thirty people around, hahaha!" George said before he left with Valerie. 

Madeline looked around the gathering and realized that George was right. There were fewer than twenty people in the room, "Are these all the guests for today?"

"Not all, but George is right. It's no more than thirty people," Lance replied. As they were about to join the small crowd, someone suddenly called Lance from behind;

"Lancelot, we need to talk."

They turned around simultaneously, and Madeline saw a woman in her mid to late thirties. She was wearing glasses and a long brown coat.

She had a pixie cut and combined with her stern look, she looked intimidating and had a commanding presence. 

However, Madeline also noticed this woman had facial features similar to Valerie's, giving her that striking beauty.
