Eli must've underestimated him given he doesn't possess the aura of a grandmaster, and he lost. 

Her eyebrows slowly pushed down to her eyes, she would have to push herself a little more if she wanted to win without getting injured. 

She believed Klaus was at the first stage of the grandmaster realm, while she was at the second stage, a feat that would take more than fifty years for other grandmasters to achieve, some would not even break through to the second stage, which goes to show how difficult the grandmaster realm was.

She had never seen anybody of her age entering the second stage of the grandmaster realm, it had never been heard before. She was the first and only person at age thirty that was in the second stage of the grandmaster realm.
