Connie blinked.

"My brother wanted me to bring you home since I told your parents you passed the night with me instead of Conrad but I couldn't exactly subject myself to your company. It's way too much charity for me to handle in a day, so I knocked you out with a special leaf that tends to show us our deepest desire…I guess yours is finding someone with low self esteem to make love to. Anyway, come on…I need to be rid of you"

Defiance shook her head and stared on the floor.

"Thanks but I can walk myself inside" 

Connie shrugged and entered her car and drove off.

Defiance hated that she felt the urge to cry. She had never felt this way before. It wasn't a surprise, she had never been in love before and only love can hurt like this.

She closed her eyes to collect her thoughts.
