Chapter 86: Unleashed Inferno

The dark energy that exploded outward from Jin suddenly reversed course, gathering back into his body. But it wasn't Jin who stood anymore. His form twisted and contorted, flesh melding with darkness. His body shifted into something monstrous, yet eerily regal—a being of raw, chaotic energy.

His new demon form was terrifyingly elegant. The dark black energy covered his body like liquid armor, tendrils of black ichor trailing off his shoulders and crown-like protrusions forming over his head. A pale blue glow emanated from his hands and chest, and his eyes burned like twin suns of endless void. His hands, long and clawed, looked as if they could slice through reality itself. His movements were fluid, yet every step he took cracked the ground beneath him, black ooze dripping from his feet and sizzling into the stone. A crescent moon hovered just above his demonic crown, a reminder of the forbidden power coursing through him. This was no longer Jin—it was the demon who had taken full control.

CP0 hovered above, observing the transformation, blue flames licking the air around him. His mechanical voice cackled. "Yes, boy! Yes! Bring out your daddy to play!" His twin counterpart joined him in laughter as the two hovered, flames dancing in unison. But their confidence began to waver as they felt the immense pressure radiating from Jin's new form.

"Impressive," CP0 continued, trying to sound unfazed. "This is different from the last time we met. A fully awakened demon, huh? You've really outdone yourself."

Jin—no, the demon—turned his glowing eyes toward the two CP0 units. He tilted his head, as though assessing whether they were worth his attention. Then, as if disgusted, he spat to the side and muttered, "Pathetic."

The demon's voice was low and resonant, layered with malice and mockery. "This is it? This is who dares stand before me? CP0 and his cheap party tricks?" He sneered, then turned his back on them, casually walking away. "Bring someone worthy of my blade next time."

CP0 screamed in rage. "Don't ignore me!" But before he could say another word, a sharp, razor-thin slash cut through the air, too fast to be seen. The two CP0 units froze mid-hover. A moment later, their bodies split apart in perfect symmetry, collapsing into molten fragments. The demon didn't even turn around.

"Disappointing," the demon muttered, his voice echoing with disdain. "In this form, I only fight the strong."

In the shadows of an unknown dimension, six figures gathered in their usual cloaked forms. Their silhouettes flickered in and out, their voices reverberating through the void. One of them, Nereus—the Ocean God—spoke first. His voice was deep and cold, like waves crashing against jagged rocks.

"The source… it's here," he said, his words slow and deliberate. "Did you feel the energy?"

The other council members nodded in agreement, their cloaks rippling as if caught in a phantom wind. One of them spoke, her voice sharp and icy. "It's maturing. The power is ripening for us to harness."

Suddenly, an ancient figure materialized, floating into view. His presence silenced the group, and each member bowed in respect. The figure's face was obscured by an ethereal shroud, his body radiating an aura of authority that seemed to crush the air around him.

"It is time," the ancient figure intoned, his voice carrying the weight of centuries. "Nereus, go. Retrieve the source."

With a nod, Nereus dissolved into water, disappearing into the void.

The air grew colder, the council's collective gaze fixed on the space Nereus had occupied. The ancient figure's voice echoed one final time. "The boy… and the demon… will be ours."

The demon hovered in midair, surveying the city below. His dark form pulsed with power, and his gaze drifted toward the heart of Blackstone. "I can feel it," he muttered, his voice filled with malevolent glee. "An ancient instrument lies here… its power calls to me."

With a sudden burst of speed, the demon shot through the air, leaving a trail of darkness in his wake. Buildings cracked and crumbled beneath him, the city groaning under the weight of his energy.

Madagascar, standing on a distant rooftop, watched in awe and fear. "What… what kind of power is that?" he stammered, turning to Ma, who sat on his shoulder.

Ma's voice was grim. "You don't want to know, boy. That's the power of ... or at least a fragment of it. If that thing emerges in its true form, the world as we know it will cease to exist."

Shenlog halted his dragon mid-flight, the massive creature's wings beating against the scorched air. He stared down at Nicklaus, who stood atop a writhing mass of tendrils.

"This is far enough," Shenlog said, his voice firm and commanding.

Nicklaus smirked, his tendrils twisting and coiling beneath him. "Finally decided to stop running, eh? Good. I was getting bored."

"You have no idea what's about to happen," Shenlog warned, his dragon roaring beneath him.

Nicklaus laughed, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, another dragon trick? Let me guess—more flames? You really need some new material."

Shenlog ignored him, focusing his energy. The dragon opened its massive jaws, flames beginning to gather in its mouth. But this time, the fire wasn't the usual bright orange. It was a chaotic blend of blue, red, yellow, and black, swirling together like a miniature star.

"Dragon Flame Second State: Deity Burn!" Shenlog roared.

The dragon unleashed the condensed flames in a devastating blast, the heat so intense that the air itself seemed to ignite. The sky turned blood-red, and the pressure was felt across the entire city. Seiji, standing in the factory far away, muttered to himself, "Shenlog, why use that here…?"

Nicklaus's tendrils shot upward, forming a protective barrier around him, but the Deity Burn was too powerful. The tendrils burned away, their ash scattering into the wind. Nicklaus screamed as the flames engulfed him, his body thrown to the ground like a ragdoll. The dragon continued its assault, pouring fire into the city below. Buildings crumbled, and the very foundation of Blackstone began to melt.
