Chapter 68: Prepare for Equal

Sinlan:

I looked at her calm face, the fragile features seemed more so at this moment. Less than twenty-four hours and she would be ours. We had a lot to work out still, two more mates to find, a threat we know is coming, and she was right before. Silas and I still think of him as Alpha and I'm just his Beta. 

However, she will be our Luna and when it comes to rank we will no longer be uneven. A Luna is top in most packs, almost more so for us, and her mate would be Alpha but they would be second. I felt my wolf's urge to come out, to skip the wait, "I know, but it is almost time. We promised her we would wait for her, and no matter what has happened today, we will be keeping that promise."

"She needs protection."

I smiled as I let my eyes adjust to her energy field, still swirling, the newest pull from the evening was already refilling. "I think she will be the one protecting us actually."
