The altercation with the impostor went exactly as she had anticipated. She came armed with words of provocation and bait, but thankfully Verona was too preoccupied with her thoughts to do give her a worthy reply. The apparition of the wolf was still a puzzle she was finding difficult to piece together. Why had a wolf appeared to her out of the blues, when she wasn't particularly fond of its kind? It was mysterious, as well as every other thing in castle rock.
It was quite ironical how she had been initially angry at the woman for taking up her identity whereas she was also doing the same thing. They were just two impostors with their own agendas, but the height of their ambitions were the only things separating them. Verona could make peace with such hypocrisy, after all she didn't even plan on going back to her past self.
