Chapter 1: No strings attached

'Love comes in many different forms, the same way it can be expressed in many different ways. To love is to live, just let it loose only then you will feel it's power.' "Oh Lord, when will this thing called love ever come my way? Is it so rare to find exactly what you want in a man?" says Zoe, lying flat with her chest on the bed, thinking out loud as she closes a magazine she had been reading for the last couple of minutes. "I know what I want, is it too much to ask for?" "Are you still reading that mag?" Liam asks. "You haven't eaten all day, let me have a look..." Zoe passes it over to him. "Here, whatever" " Hmmm..." Liam mumbling under his breath. 'Finding love in all the wrong places... single ladies speak out.' He reads out loud with the magazine in his hand as he closes it having a closer look at the magazine's cover...'G-Spot Magazine.' So...do you know what a G-spot is"? Liam asks surprisingly. "Not that it matters right now". Zoe replies angrily. Liam looks over to Zoe, suddenly there is an awkward moment of silence. "Uh-um", Zoe clearing her throat. "I don't care about all that, this life is meaningless and it comes at no cost either, where do I draw the line?" says Zoe, her voice sounding a bit shaky almost as if she were about to burst out in tears. "This rollercoaster ride must come to an end, this is doing me no good, I can't..." "I know who you're thinking about, it's him..." Liam interrupts. "About who?" Zoe asks. "You know who!" Liam exclaims. "Oh...right!" "Aha, you are in denial." "You know damn right don't you?" says Zoe. "So..." "Okay look, I had no intentions, the last time I sent him a love poem, with a picture of us at a local bar, we always used to hang out there when business didn't get in the way." "A love poem and a picture of you two!" Liam says shockingly with a surprised tone. "Something sensual, don't you think?" Zoe's eyes rolling to the corner with a huge grin on her face. "So that's it, no strings attached!" says Liam with huge surprise. "Look, him and I were business partners, so yes, no strings attached!" Zoe exclaims. "Why is water wet?" Liam asks. "Why is the sky blue?" Zoe replies. "Who's home? Something just came up." Cody interrupts closing the door behind him, knowing he'd clash into his pals except Irene and Fidelia were not there at that very moment, they both had a project they were working on. Suddenly Liam thought of Irene "When business calls, it bites." Irene always used to say, her favourite punchline. "Looks like I'll be getting some head tonight!" says Liam with excitement. Zoe starts to walk right behind Liam as they both rush down the staircase. "More beers, yay!" says Zoe knowing what to expect. "That's yours and one for..." as Cody looks at Liam he looks over to Zoe, his eyes open widely and jaw literally touching the floor. "Those twins are a size 'C' !" Cody exclaims. "Say hello to: Cup and Cake." Zoe says as she points to her right boob ending with the left one. "Shweet, that means I get some cake to right?" Zoe looking at her bust, red in the face she turns around not uttering a word and runs straight to her room upstairs. "Holy, holy that was flames!" Cody exclaims looking at Liam in amazement. "This house literally caught flames!" Liam replies followed by a short moment of silence. "You were talking about cake, top that up with a lot of sprinkles." "You have your cake with sprinkles, I love my sponge cake." Cody replies. "Bomb" they said simultaneously. Finally they handshake "Someone is getting some cake tonight!" Cody exclaims. "And who would that be?" "Haha, my man." Liam continues. "Fresh beers for everybody." says Cody. "Dude, what's up?" Liam asks. "Dude, what the fuck is up?" Cody replies in excitement. "You knew I was going to say the sky right?" says Liam. "Dude with this shitty weather,dude I'm out. I'm so not on that party vibe tonight." Cody continues. "I heard your crush is going to be there." Liam replies. "She got a lot up there, but she sure has a lot of sprinkles down there to." says Cody. "Man, let me tell you I got some moves to show Regina tonight!" says Liam as he pulls a dance move hoping to impress Regina. "Damn, you'll be rocking it out like MJ tonight!" Cody replies with a tone of sarcasm in his voice as he lifts his finger to scratch his head. "So...did someone say cake?" Zoe asks running down the stairs with curiosity after eavesdropping inside her bedroom. "Man talk" Cody replies. "Yeah" Cody and Liam looking at each other with blank faces. "Looks like I've got some shaving to do for the party tonight, it's going to be flames!" says Zoe. "Whoo hoo" she continues jumping in excitement. "Now you're talking!" Cody exclaims. "So I guess you are going after all huh?" Liam responds. "Party vibes baby!" shouts Zoe. "Tonight it's drinks on me baby!" shouts Liam. "Let's get some cake!" shouts Cody. "Cake!" says Zoe taking a sip of beer held in her hand. "Yeah, cake baby!" shouts Cody giving Liam a Harlem shake. Everyone splits, goes their separate ways awaiting and getting ready for the night.
