Chapter 56: he couldn't wait any longer

I woke up and looked at the ceiling of the room, a white hue, then glanced around at the beautiful decorations of flowers, gifts, and greeting cards scattered around the room, reminding me that I am now a newlywed, but unfortunately, my husband isn't here.

"This is beyond expectations, a newlywed sleeping alone," I sighed heavily, glancing at the wall where a white and gold clock displayed the time as 6 AM.

"Finally, morning," I said, recalling how difficult it was to sleep last night because I couldn't stop thinking about Brandon and his mother, then I chatted with Kimberly, who mentioned David's strange behavior.

I didn't have time to think about his problem, but I kept wondering if his mother's condition would weaken him and make him neglect me, or maybe his mother was sick.
