Ch 23: Zenith (r18 alert)
Exiting the tear in dimension, Ray, Azazel and Michael arrived at the partially ruined area in Kyoto alternate dimension where the youkai lives. They saw many Tengu and kitsune youkai defending against the attack mantis monster.
The youkai attack, unable to scratch the very resistant carapace of the mantis. The mantis also makes use of tactics to divide the youkai before using pincer attacks to slowly dwindle their enemies without suffering any injuries.
The stronger youkai, the only great yokai the West Youkai Faction, Yasaka along with a group of youkai under her lead is trying their best to defend the Yasaka Shrine where all the civilian youkai are evacuated to.
Yasaka created a blue flaming orb of Fox Fire to barrage the mantis groups but Georg used his longinus, Dimension Lost to block the Fox Fire.
"Surrender yourself Yasaka, there isn't any chance you can win." Cao Cao points to the True Longinus at Yasaka."You can't run either because your daughter is still inside, surrounded by us."
The whole area around the Yasaka Shrine is engulfed by a layer of purple mist created by Georg to trap the people inside. When Ray and co arrived, he instantly look at their direction in surprise because Dimension Lost should prevent them from entering unless they are at the level of Super Devil or Primordial God.
"Cao Cao, we got company at seven." Georg said, which caused Cao Cao to look toward Ray's direction. Yasaka also did and surprised to see the man that sneaked into her bed last time
"Azazel and Michael… the other one is…"
"It's the Pale Blood King, he rumoured to possess the longinus, Incinerate Anthem." Georg finishes Cao Cao words before looking at their new opponent.
Cao Cao sends Jeanne, Heracles and Siegfried to stall them while he and Georg quickly finish up before the situation becomes complicated.
"I'm Siegf- *boom*"
Before Siegfried could finish his introduction, he felt a strong force instantly crush him alive. Heracles also suffers the same fate other than Jeanne who is surprised and becomes stunned as she could feel the oppressing pressure slammed on Siegfried and Heracles.
"No need to waste my time, all I need to know is you are part of Khaos Brigade and my enemies." Ray said without change of emotion and remained emotionless as he ripped away the sacred gear from them.
Siegfried and Heracles feel immense pain as a part of their soul is ripped out by Ray before he stores the Sacred Gear away in his inventory. Both shouted in pain before they turned quiet as their eyes became dull as their soul was damaged and unable to form consciousness.
"Whew, I didn't know you are quite heartless. What did you do to the Sacred Gear? I assume you forcefully taken them to make their soul to be this injured." Azazel said as he squatted down to check on the lifeless Siegfried and Heracles.
Ray's emotion returned. "I simply eliminate them before they become problematic. I rarely have mercy on my enemies unless of course…" he then looked at Jeanne which Azazel nodded understandingly while Michael ignored them while looking at the True Longinus in Cao Cao hand.
Cao Cao has his mouth opened wide enough to fit an egg. He could not believe that Siegfried and Heracles were defeated in a single move and he could not even discern the nature of the attack. He looks worried as two sacred gear users that have power of a high class are instantly defeated.
"Georg" Cao Cao called before Georg created another wave of purple mist, trying to absorb Ray and co away into another dimension.
Ray didn't react to the mist but Georg could feel the dimension being torn apart and saw the mist being split into two before it dissipated.
Georg feel terror rising in his heart as the undefendable Dimension Create is easily torn apart by Ray. Unless one is a strong god like Odin or Indra, they cannot resist the attack and even them need to expend some effort to breakthrough the Dimension Create effect
While Ray and George are having a face off, Azazel and Michael go and help the youkai to kill the mantis monster since Georg is occupied by Ray and cannot defend the mantis. Cao Cao uses the True Longinus to block the light spears from Azazel and Michael.
The spears are made larger since weak light spears will not pierce the highly resistant carapace of the mantis. Cao Cao extends the True Longinus to cut or block the light spears. Yasaka and her group of youkai also quickly double their efforts to fight back against the mantis monster.
Ray didn't rip apart the Dimension Lost from Georg and only knocked him out with the pressure he exerted on him which dispelled the blockage Georg did on the surrounding area of Kyoto.
Cao Cao became more desperate after Georg was also knocked out by Ray. Cao Cao abandoned his mission and grabbed Georg to escape using teleportation but failed when Ray pressured him with his Divine Will that caused him to stand still unable to make any movement.
"Do you really think I would let you escape just like that, Cao Cao of the Hero faction?" Ray said as he moved closer to Cao Cao while using psychic manipulation to subdue and drag Jeanne along with him.
Cao Cao who is pressed under the Divine Will finally notices what is the nature of the attack. He felt the overbearing spiritual pressure pressing on him making him almost passed out. He is barely able to resist using the power of True Longinus. He has to use the other form if he wants to have a fighting chance against Ray.
As a great warrior that is mostly self trained, his willpower is quite strong and able to resist the willpower Ray exerts on him. Ray however didn't fully exert his willpower and instead only used a small portion of it since he still didn't have good control on his willpower. His regular use of his Divine Will as a method of transportation is to train himself.
Cao Cao continues trying to overpower the spiritual pressure on him before he manages to break free and immediately uses True Longinus balance breaker.
"Polar Night Longinus Chakravartin!"
A light halo appeared behind him and seven identical orbs. Cao Cao is visibly more relaxed since the spiritual pressure is greatly reduced. Ray didn't increase its intensity and instead stopped applying spiritual pressure on Cao Cao.
Cao Cao wanted to take this chance to escape with Georg but suddenly he felt a great attraction force which made him look at Ray only to see him extend his arm and make grasping motions before he felt like he was being crushed from every side.
"I will not let you escape, Cao Cao. Not when you have something I wanted in your hand."
Cao Cao who is enduring the pain from the previous attack didn't get any breathing room as Ray started making another move on him. Cao Cao sends one of the orb away, which Ray notices is Assaratana, the orb that allows Cao Cao to teleport to it anytime.
Cao Cao tried to escape using that orb but Ray thwarted his attempt by crushing the orb with more willpower than before since the orb is rather durable. The effect of the attack is a 10 meter wide circular area being crushed, along with the building within the area of the orbs.
Cao Cao saw that Ray's attention is diverted to the orb, smiled victoriously as he stabbed the True Longinus into Ray's heart. This attack will kill if not severely weaken any god that gets stabbed as this is the property of the True Longinus, a god killing spear.
Before he can celebrate his victory however, his face morphed into disbelief then terror as the True Longinus cannot pierced Ray body at all. All he could hear from the attack was the sound of metal striking another metal instead of flesh being pierced.
Ray noticed the attack a few moments ago and could not defend it in time. He instead coats the area above his heart with a lot of layers of spiritual power using the same principle of Armament Haki to create an armor made of spiritual power. He also uses Kinesis and willpower to reduce the momentum of the stab.
Ray takes advantage of Cao Cao being stunned to slam his front body with spiritual power, causing Cao Cao to be thrown back like a rag doll and then digged into the soil by the force of the attack.
Azazel and Michael, who is busy helping the Youkais, stopped and looked toward the battle. They were both in shock that the longinus which is famed as the strongest and biggest bug in the Sacred Gear system. The spear that can easily kill a god and destroy a world if used properly is unable to even leave any scratch on Ray.
Cao Cao felt his body become very heavy and hardly able to move because of the severe internal injury. He is in despair because he could not escape from here as Ray would not give him the luxury of casting teleportation magic. He also could not match against Ray as he couldn't see the end of his power. Using his warrior instinct, he felt like he was standing on a small island before an endless cosmos which he could not see the end nor the depth.
He only has one other option other than to use those moves to have a fighting chance against Ray. This skill will grant him the absolute power to annihilate or a miracle to win against his enemies and the skill is scaled by the enemies strength. A similar effect to [Path of Victory] but less potent and have multiple factors tied to it.
The skill is Truth Idea and it made use of the Biblical God will that was left inside the True Longinus to create the effect. The God's Will absorbs the ambition of its wielder and its opponent to evaluate and select one. If Cao Cao's ambition is selected, a miracle will be granted to him to win against his foe.
"O Spear. The true Holy Spear which pierces through God.
Suck the ambition of the King of Domination sleeping within me and pierce through the gap of blessing and destruction.
You. Announce the will, and turn into a glow."
Cao Cao chanted with a loud voice as he used the True Longinus as a support to stand up from the crater he created. Azazel and Michael are very much stunned when they feel the will of their father in the True Longinus when Cao Cao starts chanting to activate Truth Idea.
When Cao Cao finish chanting. The air stagnated and the whole area become quite as if the world stopped moving. Cao Cao is very glad and happy because he can feel that his ambition is chosen over Ray's ambition. Although it was simply because the God's Will couldn't read Ray's thoughts to know his ambition.
Then True Longinus move itself before it cut a tear in space. A man wearing Aloha shirt with large black bead necklace on his neck and a black sunglasses exit the tear in space. The man look at Cao Cao then the Youkais and the angels duo and finally Ray.
The man took off his sunglasses before look at Cao Cao and exposed his back to Ray, seemingly didn't care if Ray will sneak attack him.
"What is the meaning of this, Cao Cao?"
"Indra-sama! Please, help me defeat the Pale Blood King." Cao Cao instantly bow down and begged Indra, the God King of Hindu faction.
Indra however ignore Cao Cao plea and repeat his question again but this time with rage hidden in his voice but manage to keep it down as he ask his question.
"What is the meaning of this, Cao Cao?"
Cao Cao didn't reply as he know that Indra already discovered about his betrayal. The Hero Faction is supported by Indra because he is preparing to wage a war against Shiva and the Hero Faction is his vanguard again the army Shiva had assembled.
Cao Cao knew this and made use of Indra support to fund his effort on his Khaos Brigade's activities. Indra have a justified reason to be angry and wanting to eridicate Cao Cao from existence.
Indra discovered this when the mysterious force touches him before he got sucked into the space tear. He manage to see the Hero Faction leading the group of insects against many faction and mythologies using his Future Prediction. A few of them is the ones he supported and they have the audacity to attack his own faction. Indra basically realized that he is funding the terrorism from his own pocket.
"I see, you understand that you betrayed my trust on you. For that, I cut my ties from your Hero Faction and will regard you my enemies." Indra grab Cao Cao by the neck before throwing it to Ray.
"I know you wanted its Sacred Gear. Take it, it's my peace offering for joining your alliance."
Ray is visibly confused when Indra give him the True Longinus and suddenly want to join his alliance. Then he remembered Indra probably seen something using his Future Prediction and see it as beneficial to join the alliance.
"Then I will not hesitate." Ray said before he ripped the True Longinus and bond it to his soul.
"May I ask, what did you see with your Future Prediction?" Ray asked which made Indra flinched a little before he move closer to Ray.
"What I seen from my Future Prediction is many as it is prediction. However the consistent one is you and your alliance defeating the great mastermind behind Khaos Brigade."
"You also conquer the world right after that, declaring that you own the world." Indra said without change of expression as Michael and Azazel who arrived few moments ago looked in surprise.
Michael and Azazel look at Ray in disbelief as they quickly ask Ray if its true. Ray closed his eyes and sighed before saying yes. The angels duo stunned and re-evaluating their choice to side with Ray.
"Why would you join the alliance if you know my true goal?" Ray asked Indra since he just proposed to join the alliance even after knowing Ray's goal to conquer the world.
"That is because I didn't care if you conquer the world."
"What!" Azazel exclaimed while Michael waited for Indra's answer.
"I didn't care because he wouldn't care too, he only want the title and recognition of owning the world and didn't care about the actual world. Just like Great Red, he wouldn't care about the world after obtaining it and become like Great Red and wander somewhere else." Indra explained before he grinned.
"Also, I can see with my Future Prediction that he defeated the Great Red before declaring the world is his own. I don't know about you two but anyone that defeated Great Red is someone I didn't want to mess with."
"Defeat Great Red… are you sure we talking about the True Dragon Great Red, Great Red?" Azazel tried to confirm what he heard and Indra nodded while crossing his arm and look at Azazel with an understanding look.
Anyone going to be shocked when hearing that someone have the power to defeat Great Red. Thus, Azazel disbelief is justified.
Ray however also already knew that he can defeat the Great Red. His body upgrade is precisely for this. Great Red hold the aspects of Dream, whatever attack or effect on its body can be denied. It can even deny it's death by making his death into a mere dream.
It also can be used to inflate its power by making dream into reality which made it practically invincible unless fought with conceptual power that is absolute and unaffected by its Dream abilities.
This render the Boosted Gear and Divine Dividing useless as Great Red can keep continue to inflate its power to over power the Boosted Gear or overload the Divine Dividing.
The key to overcome this is Ophis's aspects of Infinity or concept of limitless. Ray will use the concept of limitless on both gears to allow it to overcome the aspect of Dream. Simply imagine if Divine Dividing can Divide Great Red limitlessly without any strain from overloading with power, then Great Red is effectively suppressed heavily.
Then here comes the defeating part, Ray will need a weapon to essential able to kill the Great Red inorder to defeat it in combat or threaten it to surrender and there is none other than True Longinus. The True Longinus fundamental function is to bestow effect on itself.
Just like how it gain god slaying property, anti-evil properties and holy property after it stabbed Jesus Christ. This effect is later used as base to create Truth Idea. The Truth Idea will grant effect in a form of miracle like absolute power to win against an opponent.
Using the same idea, Ray can add concept of mortality example or every wound applied cannot be removed regardless of method. However, the stronger the concept, the steeper the cost. Example, a hit that will kill and a hit that will mortally wound.
The cost difference is very significant because of simple law of exchange. To higher price needed to be paid to obtain a significant effect. The difference is, mortally wounded is still alive and the state is more or less similar but a hit that kill will need to produce an outcome where anything that hit by it to change into another state and thus cost more.
A simple law of equivalent exchange, pay less for lesser impact and pay big for bigger impact.
For that, Ray will use Ophis aspects of limitless. It doesn't matter the price for the outcome when Ray have limitless money in his bank(Ophis) to pay. The only other limitations is himself.
Let say that the price for the outcome where Great Red being defeated is 1 billion and Ray can only withdraw $1 bill but endlessly. He have to manually carry them to pay and it will cost his stamina to carry those money inorder to pay. Ray of course can find ways to lessen the stamina cost but it will not be disclosed how to do it.
"Anyway, I will leave soon and send my representative to declare our intent to join your alliance. Also, the Khaos Brigade is hiding in Hades' realm along with most of its members." Indra then vanished away.
"Ray… Is what Indra said the truth?" Michael asked with uncertainty in his voice.
"Yes, I will and can defeat Great Red especially now that I obtain all necessary item for it."
"No, not that one. I mean that you wanted to conquer the world." Michael correct him.
"Haah, yes. I did want to conquer this world. I only want the title and recognition that I conquered the world, I don't care to manage the world if that is what you worried about."
Michael is visibly relief, he assumed that Ray is one of those people that wanted the achievement since this is nothing new that people wanted to conquer the world but at least Ray's conquest is easily done since they only need to recognize him as one like how they recognise Great Red.
They didn't need to spill blood for this conquest and Ray can easily achieve this after he defeated Great Red. As Indra said, no sane man will mess with someone that can defeat Great Red.
"If what you said is true then I am relieved. I dislike many conqueror because they spilled countless blood for their conquest but you… Your can be achieved by convincing the people." Michael said with a small smile on his face.
"Heh, if you can defeat Great Red, no one will think twice and accepted you as their leader. In fact, this alliance already serve that purpose right? To make every recognise you as a leader." Azazel said which made Michael notice about the alliance purpose.
Ray grab the Hero Faction before handing them to Azazel before they go to Yasaka. Yasaka is busy cleaning up the battlefield as the mantis are all killed. She directed the youkais that helped her to fight just now to heal and recover the dead.
They later wanted to negotiate with Yasaka to ask her to join the alliance. They didn't even needed to negotiate as Yasaka immediately agreed and stated that the Shinto gods also accepted this alliance. This is partially due to Ray's Cosmic Lord that gave him power over planet and stars which made the Amaterasu agreed easily since she could not fight against Ray when Ray can deprive her source of power.
Four days later, the Shinto, Youkai and Hindu faction arrived to meet with leader of the 4 faction of the alliance and join the alliance. While the other two only agreed to alliance against common enemy, Youkai of East and West faction asked for help to defend their territory since the recent attack have devastated their population.
Grigori and Pale Blood faction both agree to deploy 1 thousand their people each for peace keeping mission in Youkai territory.
Ray spend the next two day with his wives and not forget to sate their sexual needs. He is now able to easily tire Artemis after his manhood length increased by almost half its original length.
Then when Monday came, he stuck in his lab to develop the True Longinus. He also traded the two Sacred gear he obtained for the Sacred Gear Dreamlike Curse and a few very valuable materials.

2 months later, 4 Ray can be seen inside his lab while Albion and Ddraig are waiting at the side patiently. Everyone is focused on the spear that laid on the table with 4 Ray keep working on it.
The spear is fully gold with various letters and symbols occasionally glow on the spear before fade away. The spear has a cross spear design while being very minimalistic on the design. The while spear head material looks like cloudy golden yellow crystal but when touched, it feels like metal and has metal properties. The body of the spear is a straight golden pole that has many fine lines that look like it was assembled like a puzzle.
The spear is actually the True Longinus but completely overhauled since the original one has too many unnecessary parts and materials inside that prevent Ray from adding the actual function he needed. The only original part that isn't removed is the spear head part that Ray had combined with actual stars to create the golden yellow material used for its creation.
The whole process should last longer but with the use of Dreamlike Curse, he is able to reverse engineer the Sacred Gear to create a realistic illusion clone that interacts with the physical world using his Divine Will. He let his clone handle the micro process while he handled the main modification.
The True Longinus now totally changed and functions better for Ray than the previous True Longinus. The holy attributes of the spear are changes to magic negation which break down the very energy that sustains the process and thus negate the magic.
This ability is an offshoot of the concept imbuing function that is the main effects of the spear. This is because Ray is able to strengthen his body further than his base stats using Dragon Aura which is a special version of Reinforcement with Touki, then spiritual coating similar to Haki and his natural Dragon God body that doubles his base stats on passive mode and ten times on deification mode.
Rejection of Illusion is also an offshoot inspired by Illusion killer from Toaru. Any and every form of magic is a form of illusion where reality is altered to fit in the said illusion and make it a reality. This ability's most basic effect is to reject the illusion and undo its effect to restore it into its pristine state.
The advanced use of this ability is to reject whatever the user thinks is an illusion. Even if at base state the target already has a magic effect, if the user deem it as an illusion, it changes the reality and illusion and rejects it. This is created inorder to combat the Great Red Power of Dream.
Then the actual imbued concept which is the part that is being repurposed from the former True Longinus and a special attack he added using his understanding of cosmos and Cosmic Lord skill.
When he finished with the newly forged weapon, he then moved on with Boosted Gear and Divine Dividing. When weighing pros and cons, Ray decided that restoring their abilities is better than upgrading their power because the gear allows him to use their abilities too.
The problem with this is their main abilities like Ddraig's Incinerating Flame or Albion's Reduce which are exclusive to their original body and unable to be replicated. The other abilities like Doubling and Transference (Boost), Penetrate, Division and Absorption (Divide) and Reflect are successfully recreated with both Albion and Ddraig cooperation with Ray.
For the body specific abilities they have to somehow acquire them from another universe since in DxD, it's already being destroyed for good after their Gears creation. Perhaps he will select a world that he can acquire to go next.

The amount of new stuff I learn to write my novel is causing my brain to overload that I mixed up a lot of the knowledge.)
Beside their abilities, Ray also manages to upgrade [Dragon Physique] they initially obtain from merging Ophis's flesh into [Incomplete Heavenly Dragon Physique] by using their soul as the blueprint and retrace the genetic information then recreate a degraded version of their original body but still strong enough to be around Ultimate class like
"Ray! Dinner is done!" One of the speakers that connected to his home transmitted Kurumi's voice.
Ray then stopped his modification on Zenith or rather fine tuning on Zenith's abilities before he finally raised his head from the lowered posture to stretch his body, releasing the cracking noise from his bone. With a swipe of his hand, Zenith glowed into yellow light and hid all its features before returning into Ray's soul.
"You two wanna join?" Ray asked the dragon duo but they rejected and say they rather spend time to regain their proficiency on the regained abilities.
Ray then dispel his illusion clone and retrieve his thoughts before creating a teleportation magic circle that has Ophis' crest below him. Then the magic circle brightened before he vanished, leaving the dragon duo in the lab.
They went out of the lab to the planet surface to train their abilities. This is their daily routine for the past month, whenever Ray isn't in the lab to do modification, they will train on the planet surface until the next morning Ray returns to continue his modification. Occasionally he would bring them if there was an attack.
The alliance didn't have new members joining and focused on arming the joint military soldiers that will be used to storm Hades realm. The alliance members also voiced their thoughts on Ray's goal of world domination, they all agreed that they would accept him as the leader if he managed to defeat Great Red.
When Ray appeared on the other side, he saw Nia, Kurumi, Ravel, Ellen, Shinano and Scáthach in the dining room waiting for him. The reason for Artemis, Tsukuyomi and Ikaros not joining the dinner is because they didn't require sustenance.
Ray takes his seat before casting Purification magic to clean himself before eating. The dinner went silently with only the sound from the cutlery being heard. When they finished their food, a few maids pushing a trolley carrying dessert entered the dining room.
The maids remove the cutlery and plates before serving desserts then leave the room. At the other end of the long table, several dozens served desserts are seen before Ophis appeared and started eating them but slowly instead of inhaling the foods.
"Did anyone look for me today?" Ray asked as he scooped a spoonful of pudding into his mouth.
"Not for official business but Griselda came and complained that our Blood Priest is causing trouble in their church again." Ravel said as she tries to remember if there is more she should report to Ray.
"The bank worker contacted me today to tell me that the card you gave Ophis for her personal spending had reached the spending limit again." Ellen said as she was eating her favourite strawberry shortcake.
"Wait, again? I thought that I increase its limit to 1 million Yen last month. How can she spend that much anyway when we are also feeding her at home during breakfast and dinner?" Ray asked back as he almost dropped his spoon in shock.
"A lot of cafes specialized in pastries and desserts appeared all over Kouh due to Ophis providing demand for that market. She spends every single day in the cafes and Xenovia sometimes takes advantage of Ophis to get free food especially at the end of month." Ellen replied before handing Ray a tablet that show all the spending record.
"I'm never going to financially recover from this." Ray said which made Ellen and Kurumi look at him weirdly.
"What are you talking about? The restaurant and the other businesses you set up earn us at least 20 million yen monthly. We rarely even use the money for anything at all."
"Yes, as Ellen said, we never use them at all. Might as well let Ophis use them than let the money collect dust." Kurumi added while strangely supportive of Ophis. Ray sighed before finishing his pudding and went out for a walk to settle down the food before sleep.
Usually at night, Artemis and Tsukuyomi will always finds way to convince him to have sex before sleep. When he recently almost completed Zenith, Artemis became weirdly agitated to whatever he did. Ray at first thought perhaps she had a period but then remembered she is a weapon soul, her biology doesn't work that way.
Soon Tsukuyomi was convinced by her and joined her passive aggressive protest. However, Tsukuyomi didn't really last long, joining her protest when Ray asked Tsukuyomi what Artemis was protesting about. He replied that Artemis is worried if Ray will make Zenith into a weapon soul like them too.
Ray actually did plan to turn Zenith into a weapon soul but not in human form. He planned to make it into a fist size flood dragon with a body that looked like a yellow nebula as its Independent Avatar. This will make him look cooler and mysterious when meeting new people. Impression is important after all.

'I swear! I didn't even plan to make her a human.' Ray tried to convince Artemis.
'Last time master said that, master made Tsukuyomi and fuck him anyway.'
'I'm making Zenith into my pet, not a human or half human. Do you expect me to fuck an animal next?'
'Yes' Artemis didn't even think for a moment before replied to Ray firmly.
'...'
Ray halted his step before staring at the empty road for a moment before he sighed. It's useless to convince Artemis without actual proof in his hand.
While Ray is having a mental conversation, Issei coincidentally passes by on his bicycle to his client which also happens to be Azazel who loves to spend his free time inspecting the Artificial Sacred Gear on Issei.
"Ray!" Issei shouted to catch Ray's attention before hitting the brake to halt the bicycle.
"What are you doing, being dazed like this in the middle of the street?" Issei continued while supporting his bicycle.
"Nothing a virgin like you will face anyway. Here take this, you are going to Azazel's place again right?" Ray gave Issei a well disguised condom in candy packaging.
"Shut up you! I am going to be harem king one day and nothing will stop me! Also what did you give me?" Issei proclaimed before looking at what Ray just gave him.
