Chapter 265: This is how I die

I woke up to the sensation of being slowly suffocated. My eyes flew open in panic, my hands flailing as I tried to push off the weight on my chest.

It took a few disoriented moments to realize that the "weight" was, in fact, Chloe, her arm and leg draped haphazardly over me, her face buried in my shoulder. She was a surprisingly heavy sleeper for someone so slender.

"Chloe," I grunted, trying to wiggle free, but her grip tightened, and she let out a soft snore. "Chloe, get off me!"

No response. She was out like a light, completely unaware of the fact that she was crushing me with her body.

I struggled for a few minutes, trying to squirm my way out from under her, but it was like wrestling with a particularly affectionate python. Every time I thought I'd managed to free myself, she'd roll over and pin me down again.

"Great," I muttered under my breath. "This is how I die. Smothered by my best friend."
