I stepped into the apartment, still feeling the weight of the day on my shoulders. The moment I closed the door behind me, I noticed something was different.

The soft glow of candlelight flickered from the living room, casting warm, golden hues across the walls. A faint, delicate scent of lilies filled the air, mixed with the subtle aroma of vanilla candles. I paused, my breath catching in my throat as I took it all in.

This wasn't just any evening. Carmen had done something something significant. 

I slipped off my shoes and padded quietly into the living room, my eyes widening as I took in the sight before me. The room was transformed, almost unrecognizable. There were flowers everywhere white lilies, their petals delicate and fragrant, mixed with deep red roses.
