Chapter 1: Prologue

In a world full of curiosities and dangers, a long time ago there was peace on the four continents, until...

War broke out among the wizards, starting the 700 Years' War. The world rumbled every night with the multitudes of fights between the different races. But, one day, it all came to an end....

"A wave of demons is coming!" -said the elven soldier, his voice full of panic.

"Where?" answered Kurth, the elven captain, looking around with concern.

"By the main gate, and we are outnumbered..."

"It's not just that, I sense something much bigger than demons. It may be... oh no!"

"I-it's... a class 6 demon!"

"They are the most powerful of their race... Their strength and magic are lethal."

A class 6 demon is one of the strongest of the demon race. Their abilities are amazing: they control magic easily, have impressive strength and incredible combat prowess. Their very presence is a danger to an entire nation.

"Don't just stand there! Call Master Richard and tell him it's an emergency!"

"Yes, sir!" -quickly replied the elven soldier.

"Well, it seems the time has come to demonstrate the strength of the elven race," said Kurth, with determination.

Thus began a fierce fight between Kurth and the demon Satidius. As Kurth used his god-level magic, the most powerful of its kind, the battle left countless dead, both elves and demons. Meanwhile...

"Mr. Richard! We need your help. A class 6 demon has appeared. Mr. Kurth is holding it back, but I don't think it will last long without your help."

"Mhm... I see, with Mali started using those damn demons.... We have no escape."

"B-but, Mr. Richard! You're the most powerful elf on this continent! Don't tell us to give up!"

"Mmm, I guess you're right, soldier. I will fight to the death for this castle and save its inhabitants." -said Master Richard, with a fierce look on his face.

As Master Richard made his way to the battlefield, his mind was working at full speed. He knew there was no easy solution, and the plan he had in mind did not promise a happy ending. But it was the only way left.

As he arrived, he shouted:

"Where are you, Kurth!"

"H-here, master..." -answered Kurth, almost breathless.

"Tell me what happened."

"I was... I was defeated..." -said Kurth, his voice cracking with pain.

"Speak no more, rest. I will heal you." -answered Master Richard, starting to heal him with his healing magic.

"Thank you, master. It was horrible... The demon was class 6. His name is Satidio. I managed to stop it, but they retreated.... For now."

"I see... That explains a lot. Though I'm not surprised, you are an exceptional warrior, Kurth. Now, get up and get ready. What's coming will not be easy."

As Master Richard had said, suddenly, everything began to rumble. Something big was coming.

"MASTER, FRONT!" -Kurth shouted, pointing to the horizon.

An attack of amazing magic was coming at great speed towards them.

"Don't worry, Kurth. You've already done so much. Now go and tell the troops to retreat. They must protect the divine key. I will take care of this," Master Richard said, his voice steady, if weary.

With a quick gesture, he raised his staff, and the air around him began to vibrate. He uttered the words with power:

"Protection rise above all else, stop the attack that threatens to destroy this nation! GOD LEVEL SHIELD!"

In a deafening rumble, the demon attack was stopped, but that was not all. Something even more terrifying was on its way....

"I-it's the demon god Okron!" -said Master Richard, trembling, not from fear, but from the helplessness of knowing he couldn't stop it.

"Hahaha, so you're old Richard." -said Okron, his voice full of mockery.

"I am amazed at your level of magic, though it doesn't compare one bit to my army's, let alone mine."

Master Richard, though still standing, could not utter a word. He felt his mouth quiver, but he was not defeated. In a last-ditch effort, he conjured a spell that exceeded god level.

"LORD! It's going to attack him!" -said a demon soldier, looking nervous.

"Do you think I'm stupid? Let the old man show us his level," Okron replied with a ghoulish grin.

Master Richard began to prepare a monumental spell. A great amount of magic emanated from him, lifting stones from the ground, as his staff spun in the air. The sky darkened and, in a resonant voice, he said:

"All-devastating lightning, come to me and help me stop this war!!! DIVINE LIGHTNING!!!"

An immense roar swept across the battlefield, followed by a devastating bolt of lightning that obliterated everything in its path. The air was filled with a blinding radiance, and when the dust cleared, Master Richard, exhausted, could barely stand.

"Whew... whew... That knocked the wind out of me... Ha... But I think it was worth it. Not even an army would have withstood that attack," he muttered, looking around.

However, it wasn't all over.

"Wow, that was a real divine attack. I haven't seen one in a while. ha-ha-ha! Amazing, you're unbelievable, old man!"

Although the attack killed all the demon soldiers, Okron survived, albeit severely wounded.

"Can't it be? That attack was as strong as I can make it... and I still didn't stop you!" -said Richard, his voice fatigued.

"HA-HA-HA-HA. You're right, old man, you did surprise me. But it wasn't enough to stop me. And now, I see you're coming for the divine key..."

"That's right," Okron said, with a sinister smile. "If you hand it over to me, I will retreat and not destroy this castle or its villages."

"I see..." As they spoke, Master Richard teleported into the castle, with only one mission: to protect the divine key. The divine key is the access to ultimate power. It is said that whoever obtains it will conquer the entire world.

"KURTH! Where are you?"

"Here, master... What happened, you defeated them, didn't you?"

"Of course not. Even I can't defeat Okron."

"E-the demon god Okron?" said Kurth, trembling with fear.

"That's right, and he's coming. So hurry, we have to undo the divine key."

"But master, we need the divine key to defeat Okron. It's the only way to defeat him."

"You are wrong, Kurth. No one in this castle must carry the divine key, least of all Okron. We must get rid of it. It's the only way to buy time."

"Mmm... I think you're right, master. What do you say we teleport her to the farthest possible place?"

"I'll make Okron think I have her."

So Kurth and Master Richard performed a teleportation spell, sending the divine key to an unknown location.

"There, Master, now what's next?"

"Mmm... Prepare to die, Kurth." -said Master Richard earnestly.

"I see... It will be an honor to die by your side, master."

"Likewise, Kurth. And remember, regarding you, I hold the divine key. So give me your energy so I can dissemble."

Kurth, trusting his master, handed over some of his energy, and together they managed to fool Okron.

"Here he comes!"

"Hello, old man! It smells of divine magic in here. I see you recovered, though that's not possible unless... YOU USED THE DIVINE KEY!"

Okron launched a combined attack of magic and brute force, which rumbled even other realms. The impact was so strong that it left a large crater in what was left of the white castle.

"Ha-ha-ha! So much war for nothing! But at least the key has been destroyed..."

Though the divine key is still hidden, its whereabouts a mystery. Perhaps someone else can find it...
