"Why are you at the hospital? Is someone sick?" Grace asked casually.

Charlotte clenched her hands around the thermos, holding back her emotions as she calmly replied, "Lewis is in the hospital. Last time... during the Evergreen Mountain Fire, he went there too. He insisted on rushing up the mountain, and the firefighters couldn't stop him... then he slipped on the mountain road and fell."

Though Charlotte spoke nonchalantly, her heart was not at ease.
