While Bi Yu was busy vowing to get her man back and kill the vixen that had seduced him, the vixen was in the shower. With his clothes off the full extent of the bruises from earlier were finally revealed. 

The steam-filled room embraced him as he turned on the shower, allowing the warm water to cascade over his body. Each droplet caressed his skin, soothing the ache in his muscles. 

As the water ran down his body he felt a sense of tranquility. His eyes lowered, drawn to the pendant that hung around his neck, its delicate chain catching his finger. With an absent expression, he traced the outline of the pendant, feeling its cool metal beneath his touch.

Memories danced through his mind as his long hair clung to his forehead, dampened by the cascading water. He recalled how he had woken up that day and found it hanging around.
