Chapter 21: "My name is not hey."

Qie Xieling had a very nice dream. He dreamt himself running in the mountains of the virtual game with lord Zod alongside him enveloped by the scent of fruity magnolia and sensual amber.

He thought this dream would be endless but he suddenly heard the familiar roar of Teacher Wong.

"Qie Xieling! Do you think we are here for a vacation?!" bellowed his teacher and Qie Xieling mumbled something while moving his head slightly to wake up.

While moving his lips touched something warm and soft making him open one eye. His eyes suddenly widened when he saw what could only be someone's neck. He jolted up like he had been struck by lightning with a cry.

"Wuh... uh," he exclaimed as he stared at Luo Muchen who had a slight smile on his face.

"You drooled on me," said Luo Muchen and Qie Xieling's soul almost left his body. He glanced down at Luo Muchen's shoulder but the slight panic in his eyes turned to anger when he saw there was nothing there.

"Are you fu-," he said only for Teacher Wong at the front of the bus to warn him.

"Use that language young man and you will be on water fetching duties the entire weekend," he said and Qie Xieling swallowed down the f-word in his throat.

Qie Xieling watched Luo Muchen get up with a dazed expression. He was about to continue with what he was saying before when he realised that the bus was empty aside from the three of them. How long was he asleep and why didn't Luo Muchen wake him up? He suddenly felt like Luo Muchen did this on purpose just to see his jokes.

When they stepped out of the bus and grabbed their bags at the boot, Qie Xieling called out, "Hey... hey," but Luo Muchen didn't answer him.

Qie Xieling suddenly felt like Luo Muchen was taking a page out of his handbook and pretending like he was invisible.

Qie Xieling ruffled his hair messily while sighing. Luo Muchen suddenly passed him his duffel bag and said, "My name is not hey."

Qie Xieling, "..."

Is it just him or Luo Muchen was acting a little off today? Qie Xieling brushed that thought aside and asked, "Why didn't you wake me up just now? Was that payback or something?"

Luo Muchen chuckled softly while walking away. Why was it always a tit-for-tat type of situation with this person? He just thought Qie Xieling needed more sleep and seemed quite peaceful so he wanted to buy him more time.

Who would have thought someone would snitch to old Wong and he would come to the bus to yell at Qie Xieling? Let's just say that snitch had a surname that started with B and a name that started with Y but Luo Muchen didn't know that.

Qie Xieling followed after him while continuing to say, "You just wanted to see me humiliated, didn't you?"

Luo Muchen's steps paused and he turned around abruptly giving Qie Xieling the illusion that he was going to get his ass beat up. He took a step back and Luo Muchen's brow arched a little surprised. He never thought Qie Xieling thought of him that way. Actually, he knew Qie Xieling thought of him that way but he just didn't think his image in his (Qie Xieling's) head was that bad.

He hesitantly placed his hand on Qie Xieling's shoulder and said, "Don't always think negatively of me, okay?"

Qie Xieling, "..."

"Okay, everybody gather around!... You too lovebirds!" yelled Teacher Wong and the class laughed while walking towards the flagpole. Qie Xieling fake dry heaved while turning to walk away from Luo Muchen.

Luo Muchen wasn't offended at all. He just chuckled lightly while following behind him. Qie Xieling stood behind Bo Ailun and like a typical childish being, he bend his knees and struck the back of Bo Ailun's knees causing him to lose his balance.

Bo Ailun yelped before turning back aggressively. Qie Xieling laughed while hooking his friend's shoulders. "You were ready to fight me. Don't worry I will satisfy your desire after this. We can fight to your heart's content," he said tightening the hug. Chubs was almost smothered into his chest.

Gasping for air he complained, "You always cheat when we tussle. I don't want to fight with you."

Luo Muchen who was standing behind them glanced at the back of Qie Xieling's knees and seriously considered the possibility of angering him if he did the exact same thing Qie Xieling did to Bo Ailun.

While he was contemplating this teacher Wong called him. "Class president Luo," he said and Luo Muchen answered,

"Yes sir."

Teacher Wong pointed at the two boys and said, "Separate them for me. I can't even hear myself speaking because of them."

Qie Xieling, "..."

Okay, now he understood that this entire trip was a ploy to make him miserable. Luo Muchen came between them and teacher Wong was satisfied. After finishing reading the long list of rules he let the park ranger take over.

This was also how long Qie Xieling's attention span lasted. With his face facing forward, he reached over from behind and by passed Luo Muchen before pinching Bo Ailun's back.

Bo Ailun jolted while looking behind but he saw nothing. He lifted his t-shirt to check if it was an insect bite. The entire time Qie Xieling kept a straight face but he really wanted to laugh.

Just as Bo Ailun faced forward again, Qie Xieling did it again and this time Bo Ailun spun around with a yelp.

"Ailun!" yelled teacher Wong and Bo Ailun raised his hand before saying,

"Sir they are insects. I was bitten twice I swear."

This time Qie Xieling couldn't bear it. He snorted a chuckle before restraining himself. That's because Luo Muchen was looking at him. Damn, how was he supposed to enjoy this weekend with this person on his ass?

"Why are they only biting you? Everybody else seems to be fine but you," said teacher Wong and his classmates snickered.

Bo Ailun was really aggrieved. He turned to his comrade to ask him to back him up but when he saw the smile in Qie Xieling's eyes he knew this had nothing to do with insects.

Qie Xieling smiled at Bo Ailun while gesturing with his eyes for him to look down. Bo Ailun looked down and Qie Xieling had his thumb and forefinger crossed making a heart shape. If Luo Muchen didn't feel like a light bulb before, well, today he did. Being between these two was even more torturous.
