Qie Xieling was hooked up to a tangle of wires and tubes but he was smiling happily at his two dads. It was as though the recent events did not affect him.

With a plop, The big bear fell to the ground and Wen Qinxi's eyes were filled with tears. He rushed over to his bedside and stood there not knowing whether to hug him or not. Fearing that hugging would pull on the wound he settled to touching his hair while rubbing Qie Xieling's forehead with his thumb.

"My poor baby. You scared me half to death," he said in a choked whisper while Qie Ranzhe placed the big bear on the couch.

"How are you feeling? Does anything hurt?" asked Qie Ranzhe and Qie Xieling shook his head but in truth he couldn't feel anything at this time because of the pain medication.
