The power of the wings were gone and I became a mermaid again, I went up to the surface and looked for the demon but without success, I had lost it, as I hated to lose I approached the boy and I claimed it was his fault, Neptune when I got where he was did not say anything because when he saw my angry face he preferred not to say anything before anything, I see how Neptune makes a bubble of air and approaches the elf and tells him
God Neptune: boy, at last I see you, I heard that you are an explorer in the Cedric worlds.
I was going to ask but I was so angry that I knew I was going to say something crazy so I preferred to keep quiet, Marina the other daughter of Neptune who was taking care of the indigo hugged me and told me that nothing was wrong, I hugged her tightly and apologized to her, Marina was 2 years older than Lucy, Her hair was light brown with pink highlights, her tail was lilac with blue, Atlanta her other sister had blonde hair like the sun and her tail was like a clown fish, she was 9 years old, I decided to go with both of them to rest and try to talk to Lucy.
Cedric was arriving and making all the young mermaids excited, I didn't understand why but in part I felt jealous, Crystal who was already a teenager said he was a handsome boy, of course they said that humans were ugly although not all of us, but with the elves it was a class apart, I went with Coral so she could teach me some things, If I had to spend all night reinforcing things I would do it since I wasn't going to fail the second encounter, as I could I improved my skills although it still lacked a lot but I could use Coral's magic symbol which was a Ying and a Yang enclosed in a circle with north, south, east and west with rune symbols.
I tried to stay away from Cedric to not get distracted but one day he caught me off guard while reading a book with the runic symbol of the north to understand it, it was a guide book for the armor and how to use it, when he saw me he told me

Without taking my eyes off the book I said: I don't belong to any fish since I am a human young elf.

After several days I dreamed of Lucy again but what I least imagined was that my body had moved a few meters unconsciously, when I woke up I was not in the Palace but in the marine forest, believing that I was alone I asked myself out loud, "How did I get here?

I got another scare that made me get tangled in the seaweed and again Cedric had to save me, uncomfortable with the scare I said: Can't you just appear normally?.
He just laughs out loud and while apologizing he says: you scare easily.
I could only sigh and answer my doubts to myself, I was in the marine forest where according to Neptune it was forbidden to enter, my doubt still unresolved was why I arrived here and what he was doing here.
I asked him to come back to the palace since they could be worried about both of us, I was so focused on Lucy that I didn't notice that Cedric had said my name, after breakfast I met with Neptune and asked him for a special favor and to let me enter for 1 hour to the forbidden forest, I explained him the reason for such a request and although it seemed strange to him he agreed but with the condition that Cedric went with me, although I felt that he distrusted me I simply agreed since I didn't want to waste more time.
Cedric for some reason was fast in the swim as he managed to keep up with me, in part I thanked him because this mission was important to me, not because she was the daughter of a god but because she was a girl, I did not care if she was a mermaid, human, orc, ogre, angel, vampire, but her age because I did not want anyone to go through what I went through as a child.
We arrived to a cave where there were hidden objects, I decided to ask Cedric and he told me that they are sacred relics, only someone with a good heart can take them, I understood that but if he helped me to defeat the demon I would risk to look for one of the treasures, I approached one and joined my hands as if I was making a wish, the golden vase shined with great intensity and it locked me in a whirlpool with particles of many colors, There I had to pass a test of being worthy, when I heard my words a bright light reinforced my wristbands and made them shine as if they were the sun, my body recovered its normal human stature and now my fins had some golden stripes, my body shined a little until a tattoo on my back of golden color was formed.
When I got out of there my hair regained its natural shade and as the swirl left I saw an amazed Cedric and I could only smile happily.
Cedric amazed just laughs and now I was faster than him, so I pulled him and we got out of there fast as we came in, Neptune seeing me was happy to know that we came back well and that I had managed to get a relic, the tattoo was a symbol that I was pure hearted and had no bad intentions, I didn't know if it would stay with me forever or just until I returned to normality, Cedric wanted to see my tattoo and curiously I agreed, it was a beautiful crescent moon and at the bottom there were some crystals with small flowers, it was medium size and all golden; I decided to rest for a while and get ready for the next day, Cedric decided to go to the library and continue reading, I managed to sleep better and dream of Lucy already safe but as I had saved her I didn't know that they were fragments again.
