Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Of Volume 1 First Day Journal Entries

Journal Entry 1 First Day In Sword Art Online

I have just arrived back home after a long awaited trip to the game store to buy the new Nerve Gear as well as its first game Sword Art Online. This is my first day playing Sword Art Online as well as my first time playing VR MMOs I hope everything goes well.

Journal Entry 2 (Some time later)

I'm finally in SAO after an hour of setting up. Now that I'm seeing the game for the first time I'm beyond words to say how amazing this game's graphics are. I haven't seen anything like this in any other VR games I played in the past like the Vader VR games on the Oculus. This developer whoever he is really put his heart into this. I met this guy by the name of Yoshita that happens to be one of the beta testers and he's giving me a run down on how the game works. It was hard work but I was able to get in form with using a One-Handed Broadsword I found in my inventory.

Journal Entry 3 How Did This Happen.

It's late afternoon and after Kayaba Akihiko (The games Developer) told us that everyone in the game was now trapped and had to beat the game by clearing all 100 floors or die trying. I started to freak out and Yoshita gave my a slap across the face to calm me down. After he told me that he will be looking for the other Beta Testers I offered to help since I knew a few of them. After that we both went around looking for them and soon all but one was there. We couldn't find the other tester (Kirito) but we held true to the fact that they are still alive and well. Most likely gone to one of the other villages that are spread out among the first floor. I offered to go find them but Yoshita told me to stay since quote unquote it would take forever to find them. After that was settle and a meeting of the testers concluded after some talk I was given a small book that Yoshita said contains knowledge about what to expect to see in the game. After thanking him I said that I'll be looking around the village for a place to stay the night.
