I hadn't yet seen Glynda today, but that quickly changed as she pushed her way into my empty classroom. I couldn't help smiling as I saw what she was wearing. It didn't change much from her normal attire. However the black outline of her underwear made the change obvious.
My smile vanished though when she dropped a stack of papers on my desk. "What's this?"
She gave me a smirk of her own. "All the classes have class projects every quarter. Most of the time it is a group project consisting of the set teams. However due to the nature of your class. Each student requires a different project."
I looked at the papers, "And these?"
She passed on of the papers to me. I sighed, "Requirements for each student? Really?"
She kept her smirk, "I guess you will need to some extra time? Guess you will miss lunch..."
I raised an eyebrow, "Extra time?"
I pulled out my lesson plans, "I knew that I needed to create a project for the class. So its already done, I just have to check the requirements to my plans."
Her smirk twitched, however she turned on her heel and stepped out. Before the door however she paused, "Gaz is retiring at the end of the quarter. If you hadn't yet learned she is dying of Grim-Exposure Disease. I suggest you get a retirement gift or something of the like."
Glynda left the classroom and I had two things to think about. One was my normal day, I needed to do this project shit. The second however was Grim-Exposure Disease. That ruffled me in curiosity. I opened my scroll and looked the disease up. Sure enough it was some of what I expected. Those that fight grim have higher risks. Specially those who travel the blighted lands of Draconis. A continent almost entirely uninhabited. However several expeditions are sent every 5 years to wipe out the Grim.
A picture of a woman caught my attention. A younger huntress, however one I recognized, as Gaz. She led the expedition three times around 30 years ago. She would've been around 40? In this world people have unusually long life spans thanks to aura. However it could easily be cut short. It was a little like the cultivation methods people used in my past life. I never used one of those due to the time consumption. Maybe I should've...
I tried to search up more about Draconis, but all I got was a single image. It showcased a river of what looked like Grim. However several spires in the distance caught my attention. Nothing existed about the continent itself. Just the expedition and a photo. I tapped my finger on the desk, I recognized a confidential file when i saw one. The question was now who would have that information?
My best bet for more information is Gaz, or the person who hired her to the staff, Ozpin. To be honest though both options were risky in my opinion. I sighed and placed my thoughts about draconis to the back of my mind. Speculation would do nothing for me and if I wanted to ask Ozpin I had to be a good teacher.
I grabbed the stack of papers Glynda left behind. They were in student seat order, so I picked up my notes on the first seat of the class. Checking the document over it seems my lesson plan was accurate. I paused for a moment, "Why am I doing this myself?"
I picked up my scroll and texted Velvet. The girl is supposed to be my assistant. So she can sort through these. While I waited I started to do some online shopping. What kind of gift do I get a dying old lady?
Velvet ran into the classroom, "I'm here! What do you need me for Sir!"
She got here rather quickly, I pointed to the papers. "Sort through these, one is the lesson plans I came up with the other is the requirements for each student. All those that don't align with the requirements put them to the side so I can make the changes needed."
She nodded and grabbed the papers, "I will get it done!"
She scurried over to a desk and got to work. She was rather quick, adoration was a tad too effective. Not like it was a problem for me, I guess I should get to work as well. Velvet had her own project related to my class. I still had to make her project since it related to combat training rather than semblances. Though I suppose it did relate to her semblance...
I suppose if some of the other students require additional help with their semblance projects I could have Velvet help them. That would help them as well, specially in Blake's case. She required training against an opponent that could match them in speed or technique. I made a note and begun the extra work.
