"How's it going, Stuart?" Alpha Charles felt quite appeased with the shouts of terror that went throughout his territory.

"Pretty smoothly," Stuart, his beta, replied frightfully. His nerves were still racking from the despicable act of killing the baby of the prisoners the alpha had held hostage for over nine months. "They're making swift progress."

He wasn't sure he could live with himself knowing that he had cut an infant open, without remorse. It relieved him to an extent that he wasn't among those doing the actual killing out there.

"Good." Alpha Charles couldn't wait to rub his apparent victory in the faces of all those witches who kept telling him that his doom was imminent, and the prophecy would surely happen. "Tell the men to also sweep through into Alpha Ryder's pack as well."

"What...?" Stuart questioned impulsively at that point, as he wanted to believe that his ears had failed him at that point. "But that will be—"
