Chapter 148: Hiding And Running

Alaric released the citizens that have been imprisoned for giving to the poor. They dashed out of there as fast as they could and thanked Alaric over and over again. Alaric waved them off each time, saying that it was nothing.

After they left, a glow came from behind Alaric, and Ethan suddenly appeared behind him.

"How do you know where I am?"

Ethan put his finger to his lip, motioning Alaric to be quiet. "Eli is here to hunt you down, Alaric. I would guess that he was specifically tasked to do this."

Alaric sighed, "then I guess I'll have to confront him."

Ethan's eyes widened, "don't do that! He has six model three automatons with him, and he's wearing that fabled armor that Marc wore in the war against the Empire. Even if it was you fighting him one on one, I don't think you would stand a chance against him right now."

Alaric gritted his teeth, "let's get out of here then. Teleport us out of here or whatever."
