Chapter 65: Determined
Standing outside of the store, Loraine was about to walk towards the mansion before she was stopped by a hand pulling her back.
"What are you doing? Why the rush? He has still some time to return." Looking back, Loraine saw that the ones stopping her was Kara. At that moment, Kara's expression turned dark as she said, "And aren't you forgetting something? Your father will marry you with that son of the Herewealth family."
Ignoring this all, Loraine pulled her arm back as she walked towards the mansion. Noticing Kara following her, she spoke up, "I do not care about that all. I am sure that my James will save me from this all." Saying those words, as she quickens her phase.
Arriving at the mansion, Loraine was greeted by the head maid Jenny. Ignoring her, Loraine made her way to her room. As Kara walked into the mansion, Jenny also greeted her after which she curiously asked, "What happened to Loraine? Her mood has changed. She looks so happy now."
What Jenny did not expect was that the expression of Kara darkened as she replied, "Well as the Months of Demon has ended, the knights will return." Waiting for a bit, Kara continued, "Loraine expects that James would save her from the marriage ones he returns."
Understanding the worry that Kara has, Jenny could not help herself from also getting worried about this.
As they made their way to Loraine's room, they both saw that there were various cloths already being flung down from over the closet. As more cloths and dresses were thrown out, a happy voice called out, "Not this one… No, this one is to dark… Hmmm… maybe this one?"
Walking to the center of the room with a dress, Loraine noticed that both Jenny and Kara were standing at the door opening. Smiling towards them Loraine asked, "Do you think that James will like this dress?" The dress looked light blue with darker sides.
Not sure how to react, Kara was the first one to talk, "Dear… aren't you getting ahead of yourself?" her expression was rather worrisome.
Ignoring her words, Loraine looked over at Jenny and asked, "What do you think? Will he like it?"
Jenny was also not sure how to react. Giving a weak smile Jenny just said, "No matter what you wear, he sue will like it all Milady." Clearly she was worried about the well being of the young miss. Before turning around she said, "I will leave you girls to it. I still have still stuff to do." With that Jenny left towards the study room where the head of the Bloom family was.
Not satisfied by the dress, Loraine walked back to the closet and searched one more for another dress. Searching for a while, she looked at Kara who was seated on the bed and said, "We have to go shopping! Nothing here is good enough!"
Before Kara could even reply to it, at the door a deep voice spoke up, "I think that you have to reconsider that option." It was the voice of Loraine's Father.
As Loraine saw her Father she happily said, "Dad, James is returning soon! I have to get ready for it."
Her father looked at her and said, "You have to forget about him, you will marry someone else."
Hearing those words Loraine replied angrily, "I will not! I am sure that James will prevent something like that from happening. Now if you would leave me to myself, I will go shopping." Saying those words, Loraine angrily walked towards the door, before turning around to Kara saying, "Will you join me or not Kara?"
Passing next to her father, Loraine walked towards the door of the mansion, with Kara closely following her.
