The only thing that one could her was the occasional order that was being shouted. Other than that, it was all the clinging of metals. With the reinforcement of Christopher's troops, the balance of power got slightly better. However, rushing to help, they only had cavalry with them. Moreover, they were exhausted from the constant running.
Getting closer to the battle, Christopher was riding his horse with his sword in hand. Preparing for the upcoming fight. As he was getting closer, the scenery started to look different. 'Why does this part of the battle look inconsistent? Why are our troops charging the wrong direction?'
Without even having the opportunity to properly take it all in, a middle aged knight approached him. His face looked concerned. With a saddened voice he spoke up, "Aren't you Sir Christopher? Please… Please save Sir Francis." As those words left his mouth, his eyes started to swell up, as if tears started to build up.
Confused by what was happening, Christopher could only ask about it. The moment he did, the middle aged man pointed deeper into the enemy line. This was also the location where the majority of the soldiers were charging towards.
'What have you done Francis?' Christopher said in a low voice, as he bit his lower lip. Not waiting for any other thing, he beckoned his soldiers to follow him, and changed his direction to rush over to where Francis is.
"Stop them! Stop those on the horses that are charging towards us!" Lieutenants in the Herewealth army started to shout out. "Make sure that not one of them manages to enter the field." As those words were being spoken, the Herewealth soldiers started to become even fiercer.
Seeing the change of situation, Christopher's face turned dark. 'Someone has to break through their lines. Even I would be enough!' With that in mind, he swung his sword towards the first person that he met. Because of the quick charge of the horse, the receiving enemy was not able to properly defend. The sword cut through a decent chunk, as his bones started to show up. As Christopher drew back his sword, blood started to splatter in every direction. The soldier that got cut fell lifeless to the ground.
As his sword arched back, Christopher aimed his it towards the next target. His horse still kept on galloping towards his target. This time his sword was not able to pierce trough his enemy. Instead it was met with a sword which managed to parry the attack. Trying to ignore the soldier, Christopher decided to continue his charge. However, this became impossible as the soldier that had parried the attack countered with his own attack.
'I have no time for this! Just let me pass!' Not wanting to get hit, Christopher had to slow down a bit and make sure that his target was no more. Otherwise his route will be continued to be blocked. Quickly dodging the incoming attack, he lunged his sword directly towards his target.
To his surprise, the target did not decide to dodge. Instead, it took advantage of this situation and attacked himself.
'Damn! Why does he have to be this persistent?' Christopher though. Instead of stopping his attack, he continued to make sure that his target would be no more. As his sword was digging deeper into the chest of the enemy, Christopher decided to let go of the hilt in hopes that he would manage to avoid the incoming attack.
His hand leaving the hilt of the sword was drawing back. The incoming attack was about to hit. Because of the heavy plate, the incoming attack did not result in anything. He was not able to dodge the incoming attack, however, his plate managed to reduce the incoming damage to such a state that it was basically nil.
Without any sword left to use, Christopher turned around to one of his allies. Before he was even able to ask, someone approached him and offered the hilt of a new sword. Not reaction, Christopher quickly took the hilt and continued with the process he was in.
The help of the cavalry was miniscule, as the incoming soldier still managed to overpower them, with their sheer numbers. However, Christopher did manage to close the gap. 'There he is. It doesn't look good. He is not moving.' Christopher started to get more worried as he was getting closer to the location where Francis was at.
Looking back, he noticed that they were only with four left. They had to beat twelve soldiers, who were surrounding Francis' location. If every one of them would be able to beat three of the enemies, they would reach Francis without any other resistance. Seeing this, a grin started to form on his face. 'This is good. We will show these lowly bastards the power of the Owens.'
"We just have to kill three men each. Show these bastards who they messed with!" Christopher shouted as he swung his own sword towards one of his targets.
Before his sword managed to approach the target, a loud sound was heard from the rear of the Herewealth soldiers. The sound that resembled one of a chaotic nature. A huge disturbance had approached the battlefield.
