Chapter 1: Update

This is getting a complete rewrite, sorry. As many people have pointed out, this is more like a summary of events. A rough draft, if you will. At first I was going for fast-paced jumps, but then I ran into many problems, like practically non-existent character development or getting too strong too fast.
