Chapter 3: Chapter 1

My life played itself before my eyes, showing me all the things I did. I saw it all from an outsiders perspective. I could see how my interactions affected people, I could even see how they affected me. I watched myself grow from a baby to a young adult before I was inevitably murdered.

I saw how I changed as the years passed.

I saw how the way I acted changed as time passed.

I saw how the loss of my loved ones hurt me.

I saw how the pain I felt slways relfected in my eyes, in the way I acted, in the things I did. Yanvier was right, I made a lot of mistakes. I couldn't see it when I was alive, but now I see it clearly...now that I'm dead and seeing myself from an outsiders perspective, and it's too late to change anything.

*I did indeed die because of my mistakes. The first one that allowed me to be suppressed was pride. I was born in a noble family, knowing that I was of noble status did wonders for my confidence. I grew complacent, lazy, and arrogant. For a small matter I found a rival of sorts, we both were hot-blooded. We fought, barked, snarled, and growled like dogs at each other. When we started competing it was then that I realized. I, the noble, had the short end of the stick. I started training, I worked hard to become stronger. My parents were proud of me for it, and I was pleased. Slowly, I started to catch up to him, to Yanvier. My confidence grew as I started to get the upper hand against him, then, he did something that changed our relationship from them on. He used an aura augmented strike, and nearly killed me.

My parents were furious and greatly suppressed him, only building the tension between our sides. The way we looked at each other changed. We stopped fighting with each other. No, I avoided him, and he ignored my existence. But with him everyone else did too, he was popular, really popular. And I was disliked. But I was training fervently and became strong, nobody dared to get on my nerves.*

I couldn't move at all, and not a sound could make it out of my mouth. It was dark, no, not just dark, it was pitch black dark. I couldn't see a thing!

"Where am I"

Only now did I realize the situation I'm in. I was unable to see anything, move around or make a sound. My thoughts were the only thing available to me.

Suddenly my view turned red, at the same time I felt something pushing me into this red world I perceived was created by light. Then I felt something was holding me as I left the dark space and was moved completely into the light.

The first thing I did once I felt like I could speak was say:

"WaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!"

.....

....

.

"Am I...A BABY!!"

Pure shock flooded my system as I tried to understand what just came out of my mouth.

"How is this even possible! I should be dead already, but now I've been reborn?"

After the initial shock, thoughts kept coming through my head trying to rationalize the situation. But nothing I thought of made any sort of sense.

Having no sort of lead as to how I got reborn, I just decided to leave it for now. After all, I'm now a baby, there is a whole life ahead of me right!!?

"I wonder if I am someone if I'm still me or not, if I'm not me then who am I?"

After this thought, Decron felt like his eyelids, which were tightly shut before suddenly relax. Instinctively, his eyes opened, to see...

-his mom.

She had black hair, red eyes, fair skin, and in her facial expression that he remembered to rarely have anything but sternness, have nothing but joy on it.

Subconsciously, Decron's baby hands reached out to her. He had never seen his mother this happy after that first near death experience he had.

"I think he adores you Miss Durtch"

"Hahaha, indeed, but I doubt he adores me more than I adore him" Miss Durtch said, replying to the handmaid who had aided her during her Labour to bring forth the child before her.

"Say, where is that rascal of a husband I have? Is he still not here?" Miss Durtch spoke, seemingly angry, at the fact that Mr. Durtch was not here to provide support to her in her time of labour.

"I-I, don't know miss. But I'm sure he would have loved to be here to see his first child be born." The handmaid, clearly nervous, responded with peaceable words with the intention of soothing Miss Durtch's anger.

All this time, the baby before Miss Durtch has still not placed his arms down. Noticing this Miss Durtch smiled, and embraced her baby.

"Well if he isn't here within 3 minutes, he could forget about holding my child for today." Saying that Miss Durtch's smile grew even wider, as the baby started making sounds as if he was trying to speak.

"Wah"

"Baaah"

"Maah"

"Flipping baby vocals, I should have known I wouldn't be able to speak" Decron was pissed, after that embarrassing and foolish attempt of trying to speak he decided to stay silent.

"Hey did you just here that!! He said Mom didn't he? Come on darling say mom" catching his voice Miss Durtch was very excited. She urged him playfully, while smiling, trying to get him to say mom. The handmaid too was smiling, watching the endearing scene of a mother embracing her newborn baby, with loving and protective eyes. She wouldn't allow anyone to ruin this moment.

Decron was greatly embarrassed by his mother longing eyes, as she asked him for something so simple, and acted as if it would be a grand achievement if he did so.

"Bah"

"mBah"

"No no sweetie, it's mom. You got this!!"

With even more embarrassment and shame Decron finally did it: "Mah, Mah Mah"

His embarrassment was not without fruit, as immediately after his voice reached his mother's ears she cried out with light shining in her eyes: "You did it sweetie, you did it!!"

At this time the handmaid noticed somewhat quiet noise in the hallway attached to the room they were in. Looking over she discovered Viscount Durtch silently the joy between the mother and child with joyful and loving eyes.

"Ah! Viscount Durtch, your here!" The maid bowed to the Viscount, Decron's father.

"Ha Ha! Please stand, you have done a great thing for our family. You may be Miss Nayvia's personal handmaid from now on. Don't you agree sweetheart?" Viscount Durtch was in a great mood, as he smiled at his wife and asked for affirmation. The look in the handmaids eyes did not go unnoticed by him when he approached the room after shaving off the insensitive bastards called the town council men. They wanted to hold him up in the council to go over the development of the ore mine, that's been discovered in an originally completely barren part of the town's land.

"Of course darling! You came at the right time. Come, come!! He just called me mom!!!" Miss Durtch smiled as she called for her husband after agreeing to his words. She too was in a great mood, completely forgetting about the anger her husband's absence made her feel.

Hearing her words the Viscount looked at his wife only to see the smugness plastered all-over her face.

"I don't believe it, prove it." He said with a smile in response to her expession. He had already seen their baby calling her mama, but the joy clearly expressed on his wife's face elated him to no end. He didn't mind being disproven if it would make her even happier.

"Ha! You think I'm lying? Watch and learn, this Miss here knows how to teach her baby!!" Miss Durtch pouted, before changing back to a smug face as she shamelessly claimed teaching him how to say mom.

"Come on baby, call me mama again. You got this!!" With a sweet voice and pleading eyes, she coaxed the baby to call her again.

Not wanting to ruin the mood, Decron aquiesed, regretting his earlier attempts of speaking.

"Mah"

"Bah, Bah"

"Come on you got this sweetie."

"Mah, Mah"

The Viscount stepped closer with a huge dirt mowing grin on his face.

"I...I made a mistake"

It was just after mid afternoon when Decron was born, and he was tormented by his parents until evening.

He was tired, really tired. Being paraded around the manor, nearly killed him. It was too embarrassing, being carried all around the manor, being praised after saying barely understandable words over and over again exhausted him. Finally being tucked into a little fenced crib he relaxed. After the huge surprise of being reborn, and the long exhausting day he couldn't stop himself from falling asleep.
