Chapter 1: Reborn
You never know when you're going to die you can guess but you will always be wrong. Now I know you're probably thinking I was hit by a truck crossing the road or maybe I was attacked by a mugger. No my death was more simple then that. I died in my sleep due to a brain tumor. Now I probably could have seen it coming, for my whole life I suffered from massive headaches and migraines plus nausea. But it was always brushed off, like it was nothing for the people around me, even though it happened to often. so I never had it checked out by an actual Doctor. I just let it go on until I was a adult and it ended up killing me, go figure.
But this wasn't what I was expecting, when I died I was met with a void. An infinite gray in all direction no floors or ceilings, all gray nothing else just a blank nothing. I walked for what seemed like ages never changing my direction hoping to find something in this void. Then finally afterwards what seemed like forever a translucent screen appeared before my eyes telling me I was given a second chance at life.
I was floored who wouldn't, I was hoping for an afterlife to see all the family I had lost and the family to come. As I started to freak out the screen changed and reassured that upon my second death I would be able to see my family again. I started to calm down trying to control my breathing only to realize I don't need to breathe, feeling a little stupid having a panic attack even after death.
The screen then told me that it was a system granted to me for my new life and to make the transition easier and smoother. For it seemed that those who were given a second chance with out one ended up dying pretty quickly or to confused on what was happening to them or around them. It continued to inform me that that I would be going to a world much like my own but set in a more advanced technologically timeline and that the planet was 4 times larger an resources rich compared to mine. It also is not a cheat system like the ones I was thinking of in my head, it said that it will help and make his life much better than my last one. Though it will grant me advantages over everyone, but only with how much effort I put out into the world. I felt in my heart no my soul that was fair. For the path to the top of the mountain is only for those who are willing to put the effort to tread the path themselves but sometimes the people we meet along the way can help us on the way there.
I asked for a brief rundown of all its functions so I knew what I was doing when I arrived in this new world. It pulled up a second window with the following text.

I clicked on (STATS) first only for it to gray out on touch. I then try (SKILLS) only for it to happen again and for the rest of them. Asking the system It told me that the tabs were closed till I was fully transferred into my new body. They are meant to keep track of my body, skills, and knowledge in my new life not my old one. So I asked if it could give a brief description of what they will do. Five new windows appear with the tab titles in bold with a description.

The STATS tab will show your body's details shown in numerical values such as.
STRENGTH: 10
ENDURANCE: 10
INTELLIGENCE: 10
WISDOM: 10
CHARISMA: 10

(SKILLS)
The SKILLS tab shows all skills one has gained and grows along there path in numerical values to make it easier to understand your current position with the SKILLS you have gained.

(QUESTS)
The QUESTS tab is where the system will give the user quest to complete to gain rewards an Mech Coins(MC)

(WORKSHOP)
The WORKSHOP tab helps in the development and construction of making your mechs. To be more accurate it's to help in the early development of the user skills to make him self efficient with out the help of the system. but will have more advanced options as the user learns the in and outs of building a mech.

(BLUEPRINTS)
The BLUEPRINTS tab holds all the the blueprints the user has learned or creates and works in tandem with the WORKSHOP to make processing mechs easier.

(SHOP)
The SHOP tab is where the user can use
Mech Coins(MC) the buy blueprints or materials
That are of a more advanced type or rarity then what is available in the current world.

With that I felt that I had a great chance to enjoy this new life I was given. I always loved mechs as I was growing up. The filling of driving and fighting in a mech and to be able to make my very own mech makes me feel a rush of excitement and anticipation for this new adventure to begin. The journey that is to come will be long and might has obstacles along the way but that's what life is. To be alive is live in chaos and keep going no matter what life throws at you.
I look back at the main screen and say I'm ready to go and wait for a response the system then begins the transfer process as a bar appears on the main screen. As it gets closer to 100% the void starts to get brighter and brighter to the point I have to close my eyes. I then hear a {peep} from the system as I lose consciousness
And feel as if I we're falling through space Hopping my second chance won't be wasted.

As the void returns to its grey form there stands a man with a happy smile on his face. The man stares off into the void and says "have fun" as he vanishes from the void as if he was never there.
