Chapter 73: Chapter 67
As Naruto and his group entered through the portal, they were greeted by the same dimly lighted stone room, and infront of them their guide Aldo was waiting for them.
'' You're early this time... good. '' Naruto said.
'' I learn from my mistakes. '' Aldo said, '' But why are you guys dressed up like that. ''
Naruto and his fellow brethren, had also learn a lot from their previous visit during their last trail.
And unlike the last time, they came fully prepared.
Strapped around their bodies, was a special handcrafted leather armour that was made specifically for holding lots and lots of scrolls. It's physical appearance was a five out of ten, as they were made by the inexperienced hands of a crafter called Naruto.
Sure he could make them look cool and badass, but since he always stressed on practicality over physical appearance, he made what was the most practical for every situation.
Covering their entire upper body except for their shoulders and arms, it prevented any unwanted pointy weapon from penetrating their vital organs, while providing enough mobility for combat.
'' We came prepared that's all. '' Naruto said.
'' Ok. '' Aldo said awkwardly, '' I think you are well prepared for the next trial. ''
Then a portal appeared beside Aldo, '' The trial this time will be a battle royale among fellow Aura users. ''
'' A what? '' Konohamaru asked in confusion.
'' A battle royale, or in simple terms, a group battle to the death. '' Aldo enlightened them.
That caused Konohamaru to brighten up, just like how a dog would react when told that they were going for a walk. Honestly it was very disturbing.
'' IT'S TIME FOR A BLOODBATH!!! '' Konohamaru exclaimed with joy.
'' So how many are taking part in this batle royale. '' Kuromaru asked.
'' More than two thousand I guess. '' Aldo replied.
'' And how long will this fight will last? '' Naruto asked.
'' More than a week I guess. '' Aldo replied.
'' Ah shit... '' Naruto sighed, '' Alright let get going, I want to finish this as fast as possible. ''
'' Before that, I have something to give you.'' Aldo interrupted Naruto.
A screen appeared infront of Naruto.
[ Party option has been enabled ]
The screen was mostly blank except for a square button with a plus sign on it.
'' What is this? '' Naruto inquired, to which Aldo began to explain.
'' That's a party option, it creates a link between other Aura users, so that the condition of each member of a group can be monitored by the leader. ''
'' So how do I add party members then. '' Naruto asked.
'' Physical contact my be made by the leader to the person he want's to add, then he can send a message asking to join the party. ''
Naruto placed his palm oh Kuromaru's forehead, ' Join my party. '
Moments later, Kuromaru's name appeared on the screen.
He continued that to Konohamaru, Akira and lastly Akio, all their names appeared on the screen.
The pit dwellers felt some kind of a weird connection with each other, they could not explain it, but they simply shrugged it off.
'' Alright, you can now enter the portal. '' Aldo said, pointing his thumb to the portal. '' Hopefully you can survive this trail. ''

'' Are we there yet? '' Asked a very bored young girl.
'' We're almost there. '' replied a man older than a young girl.
'' You said the same thing an hour ago! '' The young girl retorted.
'' You asked the exact same thing five minutes ago. '' said another man also older than the girl.
'' I did not! '' The girl denied it, but was immediately silenced by one of the older men, '' Five minutes before that you asked the same thing, and five minutes before that, you said the exact same thing. ''
The young girl wanted to retort back but she could not utter a single word, so she could do the only thing she could do at that moment, '' You guys are soo annoying. '' She pouted.
'' Fu, I hope you learn how to respect your elders. '' One of the older men said.
But Fu was rolled her eyes in annoyance.
The man then continued, '' And besides Konoha is right infront of us. ''
Fu snapped her head infront of her to see the giant gates of Konoha.
'' Yahoo!!!'' She dashed towards the giant gates with joy and excitement, leaving both of her teammates behind.
The two older men, who were also her teammates for the upcoming Chunin exams, sighed. '' Why did he choose me for this role? '' one of them said.
'' Were the only people in the village who are capable for this role. '' The other one said.
'' I don't know about that, but I hope we don't get caught. ''

Back with the pit dwellers, they have entered the portal.
On the other side of the portal was an extremely large expanse of grassy land that extended for miles and miles away. There were already a few hundred people of unknown origins already there who arrived before our pit dwellers.
'' TIME TO KILL!!! '' Konohamaru brandish two katanas and dashed towards the nearest victims he could find.
But before he could move a single step, Kuromaru yanked him back, '' Calm down you Psychopath. ''
This caused all the people's eyes to be laid upon them. The pit dwellers were soon surrounded with the killing intent of hundreds of enemies who wants to kill them without hesitation.
Taking a good look at their competitors, they soon found out that none of them were Human. Most had humanoid bodies, but differences lies with extra limbs, eyes or an eye, very very different skin colour, a horn, wings and other stuff.
Since they were very used to high exposure of bloodlust and killing intent, they were not really affected at all. But problems do also exist in this situation.
Everyone present in this huge grassy land, were equally strong as them. This will pose a huge problem for surviving this battle royale. Many more newcommers joined them and it was not stopping anytime soon.
An hour later everyone heard an announcement.
[ The Battle royale will begin shortly ]
[ Rewards for every enemy killed will be threefold . That includes experience, combat mastery, and evolution points ]
[ Only one party can escape this Battle royale with their lives. ]
[ Only 24 hours will be given, to finish the Batle royale. Failure to do so will cause everyone present here to be executed ]
[ Have fun! ]
[ The Battle royale will begin in 20 seconds ]
When the announcement finished, everyone took out their weapons and looked at each other with greed clouding their eyes. They came for only two reasons... number 1. To kill and number, and number 2. To get stronger.
It was every party for themselves and it was going to rain soon, a rain of blood, because this was going to a blood bath.

Everyone was getting excited to draw blood. Just a few more seconds and all of hell will rise and paint this grassy field red !
