Chapter 10: Chapter 10
Naruto and Kuromaru entered the forest by climbing the fence. They walked a few miles inside the quiet forest with Naruto in the front. " First brother, is it just me or it's me being paranoid that it's too quiet." Kuromaru asked.
" Yes, it's too quiet." Naruto replied his voice being serious.
Five minutes later Naruto and Kuromaru were on the run, it looks like that they were chasing something, but it was the reverse. Behind them was a huge bear that was thrice their height both combined.
" First brother I can't run anymore!!!" Kuromaru was out of breath and the bear was catching up on him.
" Run if you don't want to become his !lunch!" Naruto screamed at Kuromaru. But his screams fell to deaf ears as Kuromaru as he suddenly collapsed to the ground.
" Second brother!!!" Naruto stopped running and went to help Kuromaru. Kuromaru saw that the bear was approachinmg them at great speed and he then said Naruto to leave him and run. " LIKE HELL I'LL DO THAT!!!" Naruto rebuked him. " So cut the drama and run!" But Kuromaru could not get up. Naruto seeing no other choices he carried Kuromaru in bridal style and he began to run. Even though the weights he had to carry now was already a sixty kilograms he would not leave his brother nor the stuff they had to carry, alone.
Naruto accidentally stepped on a stick which caused him to loose his balance. He slipped which sends him and Kuromaru flying straight then came crashing to the ground. Naruto and Kuromaru stood up but the ground beneath them collapsed and the fell to a pit like hole.
Naruto fell first then Kuromaru came crashing to his back. Naruto grunted in pain, then he felt something beneath him, it was a corpse of a dead ninja, only the bones and it's gear remained though. But what intrested Naruto was the rusted single-edged giant meat cleaver like sword it was holding on its right hand. Naruto grabbed it's handle but it was heavy, it could weight atleast a hundred kilograms. But it was not impossible for Naruto, he used his brute strength to lift the heavy sword and then rested the blunt side on his shoulders. The giant bear saw that his prey fell to a pit, since it was too small, it plunged his right arm inside the pit.
Naruto saw the incoming arm, he swung the giant sword, using the weight of the sword, it cut the bear's arm cleanly.
The bear roared in pain and pulled out it's arm from the hole. Naruto climbed out of the hole dragging the heavy sword along him. The bear saw it and was was very angry at Naruto. It stood on its hind legs and roared at Naruto. Naruto glared at the beast infront of him releasing his bloodlust at the bear. The bear flinched at the bloodlust Naruto released at it. But before it could do anything, Naruto took the opportunity, with the bear distracted by his bloodlust, he roared and swung the giant sword horizontally at the bear's hind legs.
The sword cut the bear's legs cleanly, it roared it pain. Losing it's balance, it fell face first to the ground. Naruto then raised the sword high with great difficulty and with a loud roar, the sword came down to the bear's skull, splitting it in half. The blade dug deep to to the ground and it remained stuck there. Naruto let go of the handle and fell to his back breathing heavily.
He ran for a good ten minutes straight, then carried sixty kilograms of weight and still had to run again, then fell to a pit lifted a very sword and using it to kill a twenty foot bear. If Naruto was only exhausted, then it would have been a joke. His entire body was in pain.
Kuromaru came to help Naruto and him back inside the pit for that was the safest place at that . Once Naruto was completely fine. He thanked Kuromaru for the help.
" Looks like we found our new hideout." Naruto said. " You mean this pit?" Kuromaru asked in disbelief.
" Actually were gonna live underground." Naruto said and they stared at each other blankly.
After Naruto told Kuromaru the benifits of staying Underground, he had no choice but to comply. It was better to live underground than to stay at the surface filled with creatures that want nothing more than to devour them.
Naruto pulled out his sword that was lodged to the ground. Then went to inspect the corpse of the ninja. " Since you're dead, you won't need your stuff anymore. So thank you for your generosity." Naruto said to the corpse. " I'll remember to give you a proper burial."
Naruto search each and every part of the corpse. He found five rusted but usable kunais and shirukens, a forehead protector ( design is similar to the one Senju Tobirama wore ) with the symbol of the Hidden mist village on it and two scrolls, inside the scrolls were strange symbols which Naruto knew fuinjutsu was involved, but since he knows nothing about fuinjutsu he just tossed all the stuff in his backpack
Now Naruto was holding his shovel, cracking his knuckles he said, " Let's do this shit." Naruto began to dig down in a circle shape three feet in diameter and sixty feet deep. While he dug, he would put the dirt in a bucket which he would give to Kuromaru, who was on the surface, who would put the dirt in one location. Then when he finished to dig the sixty feet mark, he began to make a spiral staircase till the top. Currently it was midnight, Naruto and Kuromaru were eating roasted bear meat. The meat itself smells horrible but with Naruto's special technique of removing bad smells from meat, they ate till their bellies are full. The leftover meat were smoked for future use. That night they slept at the bottom of the hole Naruto dug.
When morning came, both Naruto and Kuromaru went to the Hyuga compound. When the gaurds saw Naruto and Kuromaru, the did a 90° bow, which confused the blonde boy and his calf.
" Welcome respected sir and his noble steed. " They both greeted Naruto and Kuromaru.
' THE FUCK!!!? ' Naruto said in his mind. ' What's wrong with them? '
' NOBLE STEED!!!? ' Kuromaru said in his mind. ' Something is definitely wrong with them.'
Naruto and Kuromaru were never greeted this way so it felt so out of place for them. This was such an awkward moment for them
" May we know the purpose of your visit?" one of the gaurds asked.
" Eh... Yeah we're here to meet Hinami-sama." Naruto awkwardly replied.
" Please follow me." One of the gaurds said and went inside. Naruto and Kuromaru followed the Hyuga gaurd inside the compound. Naruto had to admit that the Hyuga compound was fucking huge. The Hyuga gaurd led them to a beautiful flower garden and Hinami was watering the flowers.
" Hinami-sama" the gaurd said, and she turned to their direction. " Naruto-san and his steed wanted to meet you." Naruto and Kuromaru could not help but cringe at the awkwardness.
The gaurd left leaving the blonde troublemaker and his calf with Hinami. " Well how are you Naruto-san and your noble steed?" Hinami said giggling.
" Please stop that! it's so embarrassing." Naruto said and Kuromaru just mooed, which if translated , " That's sounds so wierd."
Hinami just giggled. " Like seriously! why are they treating us like this. It felt so wierd." Naruto said. Hinami stopped laughing, but gave them a warm smile. ' Naruto you might not know... but the side branch of the Hyuga clan are very thankful for what you did.' Hinami thought. ' The family has drifted so much that both the branches hate each other. The main branch had gained too much power that they have started to abuse it. Hinata, to the side branch is their hope for a better future. She is kind and gentle and would never treat the side branch like the other main branch members. That's why she is loved by all the side branch members. And since you saved her, they would definitely respect you.'
" So how is Hinata-chan?" Naruto asked, rubbing the back of his neck and a blush was on his face.
" Ara Ara, It looks like you want to meet her?" Hinami said. Naruto just blushed, " Well you can say that HAHA..." Naruto awkwardly agreed.
Hinami called a maid, and told her to call Hinata. Then she turned to Naruto, "So what brings you here?" she said with a smile.
" It about this..." Naruto took out the two scrolls he found and showed it to Hinami. She opened the two scrolls and inspected it.
" So what kind of scrolls are they? " Naruto asked.
" Oh these!" Hinami said, " These are storage scrolls."
