Chapter 3: Would he ever be normal?
The whole bus shook like an earthquake had passed it. It was shivering like a dried leaf with the cold wind on the day of winter. Each of the students held the seats or each other to avoid the fall, while the warden fell with a thud on the floor of the bus.
Everyone of them looked at Alec with horror. They could not believe that it was just a coincidence while Alec only felt seething anger in his heart that turned him cold. His eyes were filled with bloodlust as he looked at the warden.
"Stop it.. Stop right there." shouted the warden when she saw Alec coming closer to him. But instead of being authoritative, her voice came out pleading to him.
Her words turned further incoherent when he crouched in front of her. His red, dead cold eyes looked straight into her panicked eyes. He tilted his head as he felt the smell of fear that was coming so strongly from her body.
"You filthy human, call yourself better than me? Do you even have any compassion for other beings? All you need is flattery and respect that you did not deserve at all. You should be thankful that you do not suffer what I was suffering. What I am going through, but all you do is complain!" he whispered with a blank face as he looked into her eyes.
"I.. I am sorry Alec, I didn't mean to do that. I will never do that. Please let me go." she pleaded, desperately. Though he was just sitting there in front of her and he had not touched her at all. She could feel an invisible force that was trying to strangle him. And it was his doing. He was nothing but a devil that has been reincarnated.
"Alec, I am your teacher. Let me go." she tried to show authority only to earn a chuckle from him.
"Alec, I promised that I will not complain to your father for anything you do. In fact it will not even mention the accident to anyone." she pleaded, it was a matter of her life and the look in his eyes were enough to tell her that he would not even bat an eyelid to snap her neck like a dry stick of hay.
"Selfish humans! Nothing but a piece of shit! Now that it comes to you, you are ready to change your rules, huh?" he said with disdain, his voice was so low and cold that the warden could feel shiver down her spine.
There was something that made her feel that Alec was not only crazy but possessed or something. His actions were not normal at all.
All the kids around him were already shivering. They have taken several steps away from Alec.
"Alec, stop it. Alec let the teacher go." a few kids said but they still kept their distance and their voices were hardly above whispers.
Just when Alec was about to move his hands and held the warden by her neck, something snapped. The iris of his eyes moved above and his whole body felt like it was burning. He tried to control himself but it did not work at all.
He held his head from both hands and a shriek escaped his lips.
"Arrghhh"
"Alec, I think you have suffered major blood loss. You need to go to see the doctor." said a girl moving towards him and touching his shoulder after some hesitation.
Alec blinked. He looked above him, towards the girl. This was the first time she was talking to him. He had noticed her eyes on him often, but she was the only one who did not look at him with disgust or ridicule.
In fact, sometimes he felt worry in the bright blue round eyes. He wondered what kind of person would worry for him when even his family thought he was a monster.
"Umm, shall I take you to the hospital?" she asked when she noticed that Alec had turned silent. He was not saying anything at all.
Yet she and others could feel that his anger had subsided.
Alec blinked and finally looked at his hands. The blood was still pouring out profusely. Though he did not feel pain at all, yet he nodded his head and the girl smiled.
"Hold my hand, I will take you to the nearest clinic." she replied, still maintaining her bright smile.
Alec held her hand, it was the first time someone had held his hand without fear. Someone has taken him like a fellow human or more than that, maybe a friend.
His red eyes that turned black a bit ago cleared. He blinked and opened his eyes that were looking much more normal than before. She smiled looking at the efforts he was putting in.
She held his hand and helped him in standing up and then they both walked out of the stopped bus.
"My name is Jennie. I study in the same class as you.`` She introduced herself with a smile and Alec smiled back. His smile looked stiff as this was the first time he was smiling in ages. He was scared that she would find him queer. But it did not happen, she continued to smile with the same enthusiasm.
"My. .my name is Alec, i study physics." he said with a bit of hesitation, copying the way she did it and she nodded.
"I know, I have been seeing you for a while. You seem lonesome to me. I do not know why they fear you. You seem to me just a lonesome guy who needs friends and affection.
Her smile was so enchanting that Alec didn't know how to respond to her. She was not beautiful or sexy. She had golden hair and a freckled face. Her height was average but she was tall and had an innocent smile. That Alec did not know how such a sweet girl was talking to him.
"If you think I am disturbing you then you can tell me. I will stay silent. I know that I talk a lot. But if you do not like it, I will not speak that much.`` Alec blinked. He did not want her to stop talking but he did not know how to talk to a person. In the last 10 years he hasn't talked to anyone.
So, in the panic he held her hand to stop her from leaving.
"I.. i.." he was having trouble forming his words when the girl chuckled.
"You know.. You are cuter than I thought." she replied, pinching his cheeks and he blinked.
But the moment he blinked, there it was again. The black dragon was looking at him with furious eyes as its left eye was covered with blood and an injury which he knew was given by him.
