After the Orientation, the students could get to know each other, talk, and meet new people. Ezra didn't even want to waste any time; he turned to leave, and Seth, Lisa, and Leo followed as well.
"This is a waste of time. Why indulge in such discussions that have no meaning?" Seth asked.
"They want to form cliques and connections. Most of them want to increase their nets and gain power that isn't theirs.
When you work alone, you can go somewhere fast, but with people, you can do it efficiently," Ezra said.
"So what about you? Don't you need people?" Seth asked.
"As much as I hate to admit it, I do need people. That's why I have my sister, you, and someone you are yet to meet. She is what I'll call a comrade like you," Ezra said.
"I guess you aren't a loner truly," Seth replied.
"Like I said before, I will only work with you because you are strong, and that strength will aid my goals. Remember the organization we spoke of?" Ezra asked.
