Chapter 53: Stay for me

I had been miserable for a few weeks at this point. Daniel sprang to mind as I wondered what he was doing without me. Ethan unexpectedly made the decision to relocate to San Diego in order to assist with our kids.

Amber yelled from the living room, "Sarah." I swiftly made my way into the living room after descending the stairs.

"Yeah?" She turned to face me as I questioned her.

Amber remarked, pointing out the window, "He's here. My heart was pounding as I approached it, and my eyes landed on Daniel. He exited the SUV and started to head straight for home. I juggled feelings of despair and hope that he would truly love me. My ring finger was naked, save from the thorn mark that connected Daniel and me, so I peered at it. Amber followed me as I headed towards the door. Daniel rapped on the door, and I heard it. I signalled Amber to get it since I was curious to see what he would do. As she opened the door so he was facing her, Amber moaned.
