Chapter 35: Descent

(Eric's perspective)

Emma took hold of my hand and whispered, "Eric, you don't need Sarah.

"At this point, she endangers my safety. How am I going to convince her to let me murder Daniel? I prompted her.

"Wouldn't the spell she was casting kill her, right? I stared at Emma as she questioned

"Yeah, but how does that help? I pressed her.

Would she be willing to put the baby in danger if she were expecting? When Emma stated it, I hurried to get my spellbook. Until I discovered the magic, I flipped. I grinned at how easy it was to only say a few short words.

"Perfect," I said, smirking at how perceptive Emma was.

POV of Sarah

Daniel and I exchanged a smile as we moved through the forest.

"How much longer, Daniel? As we entered a clearing, I questioned myself and shrieked as the sunlight crept into the clearing and made the dew shine.
